Blogger.com and meta tags!! I need help please

I need some help putting meta tags on my blog. Can anyone tell me how I go about doing that. I went to a site which help me create a meta tag, when I went back to blogger.com all I could figure out was where to put the title!
I have no clue where to put the rest of the code.

Meta tags usually go in the template above the "head" on the code (go to your template, and you'll see the code is divided into head and body). I presume you know the code you want to add and are just not sure where to add it?

yes, I have the meta tag, I found a site to help me learn how to do that. The problem I'm having is inseting it on my blog. I keep getting a error message. Thanks for your help. I will try it again in a few minutes.

No, I'm trying to figure out meta tags. It's an html code that you add to your website/blog to help you get indexed an ranked higher on the search engines. I am trying to figure out exactly how they work.
Currently, I am working on my big daddy blog and it's full of a lot of problems. I have too many urls!, missing meta tags and the only meta tag I managed to add is too long. LOL
I used http://www.seoworkers.com/tools/report.html
You enter your url and they will give you the "dirt" so to speak on your website.

i too donno the meta tag? whts it actually? i hv put a tag which u can put ur opinion abt the blog.....like chat block ....wht u r talking abt i really donno ...if somebody knows i too wll apply it........looking forward so tht somebody here will gie the correct info.....

Did you check your website on the seo link? I have a lot of work to do. LOL

My understand id meta tags help you get listed in the search engines. If your site doesn't have meta tags it will take you a long time to get listed. Meta tags help your site get noticed, ranked and indexed.
