Do you always approve a friend when they ask to be your friend?

I have had a couple of people that have asked to be my friend that when looking at their profile I could not see any reason why they would want to be my friend and I am not sure I want to be theirs.I have always approved because I feel it would be mean to deny being anyone's friend. And maybe there was something about them I couldn't see from the profile.
Does anyone ever deny or do you always approve friends requests?
Thanks
Raydene

I don't see where it really matter if you approve everyone.
That's what I do. I think it is a great way to increase revenue.
I just spent an hour going through all my friends discussions and posting to them to help them out.
Everyone should do that and everybody wins.

Yah, everybody are all welcome tobe my friend..I don't think there are other reasons why we will not approve them as a friends. We are all here also not for the money we all have here to have more friends.

It is best to let them be friends as over a period of time you can find out by the amount of times that they respond with comments to our discussions. Then your true friends can be put on the the email system where we can keep track of thier postings as well.

I will not accept straight away I will look in the Profile if there is nothing of Interest there then I will not accept as it is a waste of time. I have noticed that a lot of New Members make it their Priority to make Friends and when you look in the Profile there is nothing there at all. Not even a Discussion so I will not accept.

Not really. Stick with the friends that have remained true to you and ignore those that you do not know. People who just want to be your friend are people who want to rack up their friends list. I've gotten friend requests from many people that I didn't know before - music bands, people that I heard about and didn't know much about them, and so forth. They were a waste of my time. I know one person who wanted me as a friend just to give them comments on their page and it was stupid. Really stupid.
Love you,

I don't always accept friend requests. I check their discussions first and if I think it is qualitative only then they are on my list. I have the notify on for all my friends and since they start good discussions I have a whole lot waiting to be responded to every morning. Some start uninteresting or repetitive topics later, I just turn them off for a while instead of deleting them. I am picky so yes, I deny friend requests. There is one user here who sends out friend requests to almost everybody and as soon as it is accepted, he soams them with referral links to other sites. A fellow user and friend warned all of us about this user and I've denied that user's request to be a friend atlest 4 times now! So you too might want to watch who you have on your friend list. The more the better but quality matters over quantity.

I entend my hand of friendship to anyone who wants to be my friend. I really do love other people and want to help others. Why deny anyone a request for friendship? I see no reason for it.

I don't decide to approve a friend or not because of their profiles.I decide based on the discussions they have started. Did I respond to the discussion?Did they respond to one of my discussions? If we seem to have something in common, I will add them to my friends list.

There is just one person in my pending friends list whom I didn't approve because after sending the friend's request he never logged in and it's been 4 weeks.Otherwise,I try to check the profile and the interests. If I find we have similar interests or someone doesn't freak me out totally (lol) ,then I approve them.

I approve most of mine. Not all, though. I like to read some of the requesters' posts first, then I see if I like them. Adding friends for the sake of adding them is kind of...I dunno, a bit silly.

ususally i approve all the mylot users who request me to become my friend. if there was no option of deleting one from friend's list then i would have tried my best to know more by going through one's profile. but since, mylot doesn't suggest to disclose personal information for good reasons, i think it would have been difficult knowing a person. its good that we had such an option available. as far as i remember, i've denied one request because when i went through his profile i saw him copying my recent discussion topics. i didn't like it and that's why i denied. apart from that i feel its good to have friends around!

when somebody requests i always look at their profile before approving.i don't know why i do that as in 100% case i m going to approve them!lol also it gives a chance to know new people and new kinds of discussions. there r some in my friend list who usually don't post discussions of my interests but i don't think we should delete each other as i m always hopeful of finding something of my interests someday, among theirs!:) according to my principle there's always some similarities between people so i bank on it:)

I've been lucky so far - I have had some fantastic people as friends. There is only one person who I really haven't been glad to approve as a friend and that is only because as soon as I accepted him I got a private message asking me to go to another site and hasn't been heard from since!
Glad to be yout friend though honey!
