How about a thanks "FLAG" if added to the responses as like rating?

When normally like and wish to thank the responder to our discussions. We can't stop our feeling in some cases unless we add a line as an comment to the response. But what I think is that as like rating syatem if we would be provided with a small flag symbol which when ticked or marked the user who replied could see that we have read his response and wanted to "thanks." I think this would avoid further adding comments and loading the server as well as time saving point of view. In addition to the "add comment", A flag as "THNX" should appear just next to the response, is what I wish. What about you? Don't you want to have this provision? Will it not save our time.

I think that this is a good suggestion and should be looked into by the mylot team. I think that the + as of now is similar to thanks, only difference being that instead of an explicit thanks it increases the rating. But, an explicit thanks would definitely be a good addition to the site. Cheers and keep the ideas poring! Ram

Oh! Atleast this discussion was not sent to trash without any responses. Now I can understand people read me and listen me, otherwise I was doubting that, I was barking aimlessly in the air for whole the night like a dog & nobody cares to. so... THNX? I REALLY THANK YOU MY DEAR.

I think this would be an excellent idea, and save a lot of time I appreciate, each and every response and as well the time and effort it took, but if you get a lot of people responding (not that I have) it might help in that way. please pass it along to mylot, at least they can do is look at it.

See for instance I attended your response and liked your view and further appreciation to my idea, I mean I read you and the discussion intention ends here except a formality of thanks remains for me in return to your response but instead I had to mention and write few words. Of course I will not mind in writing but instead of spending time on the same discussion we could very well switch to the another discussion isn't it? As you suggested, I have already mailed this discussion to "mylot" in the begining only, lets see if they consider it at all.

I think that this is a wonderful idea. I think that you should send this idea in. There are many times I just want to say thanks to someone for their comment.

As for example, I actually wanted to thank you for this response but I had to write this long line instead. You look brillient to understand my idea so quickly.

i think it is a cool idea but i have think if such an option is made available people will not elaborate their response and cut it short only with a thanks .. it feels good at times to read a slightly illustrated response than just a thanks .. but yes it would be a time saver definitely .. moreover we can say thanks to al those who reply quickly ... is MyLot hearing our requests ...???? :)

This is a great idea, it would also give mylot a better way to rate good responses, like the more flags a person gets the better quality their responses are! I think it would be a big time saver, however part of what makes this site so great is the personal responses between users, so that might take some of the quailty discussions away??? just a thought
