Who are you closer with? brother or sister?

I have no brothers but I have two sisters. They are much older than me, more than a decade older. We do fight once in a while but we talk more often. They are cool and the best sisters in the world and they also always look out for me, the youngest sister. I can ask them for help when I need it.

My sister and I are both closer to our mother. She knows us both well, whereas my sister and I are way too different to have close relationships with eachother. We are still close enouh and we still love eachother, but our mother seems to fit in with all of us, if that makes sense. She fits in better with each of us than we do with eachother.

I wish I could say I was close to one or all of my siblings. I am the youngest of five, the oldest has passed. He was 15 years older than me. We are spread out in ages so I never felt like part of the family, never had anything in common. I have one sister who is 14 years older than me. She is pretty good to me. She was good to me as a kid too, kind of motherly. I guess we're closer than I am to anyone else. The next sister is 9 years older than me and my brother is four and a half years older than me. I never really got along with them. We try to be loving siblings now but there is still something missing.

it is about equal between my brother and sister, but for different reasons. I am reasonably close to my sister because she is older and teaches me things and takes me shopping for clothes that will suit me (because i dont ahve a clue!) I am reasonably close to my brother because he is much younger than me and i be a child with him and have lot sof fun play fighting and pretending to be karate champions ^_^

My brother is 4 years elder to me and is one of those very protective kinds. Many times in his efforts to protect me, he made me feel choked and being observed all the time! Between all this i developed a friendlier bond with my cousin siblings, specially my elder sis. So i'd say i get along bette with my elder sis!

we are 4 siblings and im the eldest.im not that close to my sister we argue most of the time..i do love my brothers and we are very close to each other.we go out and eat (my treat of course), play PS2, watch DVDs, they help me cook, wash clothes together they seem to be my left hand and my right hand.

I have an older brother and a younger sister. My brother is exactly one year older whereas my sister is about six years younger than me. When I was young (before my teens) I was very close to my brother because we only had each other until my sis came along. Up to the time when my brother was 12 years old he and I did everything together and had lots of fights and fun. However, when he got to his teens he changed drastically and stopped talking to me quite literally. We had different interests and he was very studious but I wasn't. From then on I became closer to my sis and up to now, it is still my sis whom I can share more with. My brother has been in US for more than 20 years and comes back to Singapore once in 2 years and we don't really keep in touch even by email or phone because he is a man of few words. So, all these years that he's been gone, the bonding between my sis and I grew even closer.

i am close to my both sisters and brother.we are a big family like 9 siblings. i have 6 brothers and 2 sisters.our parents teach us to be one especially when we have problems.we help each others and we listen each others pains,heartaches and our victory and happiness.its amazing that even we have our own family we still have time to see each other.

I am the only child of my parents so I am really close to both of them :)

I would say I am probably closer to my younger sister.My middle sister I love but somtimes she likes to start trouble.I have no brothers though.

I'm not really sure. I've always felt closer to my brother as we are much more alike in our personalities, though I talk to my sister quite a bit more than my brother. I do talk to his wife frequently, so does that count as my brother or not? When I was younger, I was definately closer to my brother, my sister was a goody goody and just an annoying pain in the butt. My brother and I got in to trouble a lot, because she would tell on us of coarse, so that made it so we really didn't like her. Also, my brother and I went to live with our dad when we became teenagers because our mom couldn't really handle us anymore and my sister stayed and was spoiled because of it. It was like she was bribing my sister to stay or showing us how good we'd have it if we had stayed or something like that so that made us not like my sister as well. I still find her very annoying and insipid. She just drones on about a lot of nothing and thinks she is very interesting. Also, her son drives me bonkers. Though my brother's kids aren't the greatest in the behavior dept either so I don't really think that the kids have any affect on my direct relationships with them.

I would have to say I am closer to my younger brother (35) than my other brother and sister. We talk on the phone a lot and we actually spend a good bit of time together. Last weekend he and I took our children to see Night at the Museum. Our children spend a lot of time together as well. They are all very close in age. The youngest two are only three days apart. He has just always been very special to me and I have always been very protective of him. Even as younger children, he and I were always very close. We even lived together in college for a year.

I am close to all my siblings. But I can't deny the fact that I have a favorite. It's my youngest brother. He's sweet and I really appreciate it when he tells me his secrets. And I can tell him too some of my concerns. He's really fun to be with even if we have 5 years gap between us.

I am sad that I have only one sibling and that we are not close. He was really mean to me in our childhood, and in adulthood he suffered a horrible brain injury which has also affected his personality. I love my brother dearly, but we have never gotten along very well.

i enjoy the blissful company of my three sisters a lot. i'm very close to all my sisters and i feel blessed that i have them in my life.they are so caring! unfortunately, i don't have abrother but i really never wanted one. i'm way too happy with my sisters.

I'm closer with my sister. She is 6 years younger and when we both were kids we wasn't so close, but now when we are both adults we know about each other more than other people know about me or her. Our relation is so good, that I feel noone understands me like she do. Many same interests, it's always something to talk about. I have also 3 years olded brother and we have quite good relations, but it's not the same. Our family belives, that me and my sister are able to communicate without saying a word, I think they're right hehe. I almost always know what I want and what to do, but my sister seems to know it better sometimes.

My brother.. When we were young we're like cats and dogs but now after college were so close!!I was the one who knew that he was gay. ANd he was the one first one and only one in my family who knows I am not a virgin anymore... lol were pretty tight you see.

I am closer to my sister we have kids 9 days apart and my dad used to make her take me places where she went so we just got closer when I came home 1 time with a hickie she put make-up on me so my mother would not know aboout it.

I only have 1 brother but it seems that the youngest is usually closest to the oldest and the oldest sticks up for the youngest. Thats what i have seen in families i know.
