I wonder how many of us still obey the traffic rules and regulations. Do you stop when the red light is on? Or do you cross the pedestrian only when the green walking man is on? I for one, really tried to stop and wait. But, sometimes, when I'm in a hurry and there's little vehicle only, I crossed even if its still red. Have you experienced being caught by the police officer for J-walking or speeding beyond limit? Hope you'll share and discuss it here... Join me and let's have fun.(",)

I have always believed in the saying "it is better to be safe than to be sorry". I do wait for the green walking man but ofcourse if there really is no vehicle (checked and double checked) then I cross the street. I always use the overpass and underpass as well I don't mind climbing and descending a few steps (I think of it as an exercise) than to be accidentally hit by a fast vehicle. I do drive my car sometimes that is why I hate people who just cross the street without checking if there are passing vehicles it is as if they expect that the car will stop for them. In my place many people are hit constantly. I do not blame the drivers but I blame the pedestrians instead because they should be responsible enough to know which roads they should cross or shouldn't cross

I do obey traffic rules with regards to pedestrian crossing. However when I see other people crossing the street even with the red light still on and there's no vehicle coming, i cross the street with them. (LOL)

I used to stop when the red light is on, I tell it won't harm you, those gadgets are there to protect us (motorist) not just a display or something.
Yes, I was caught once as a Jaywalker, it is just I did it intentionally, it is because, I'm not aware about the "new" city ordinance when that happened. But ignorance doesn't excuses me, I paid the price.

No they didn't, they just asked me to choose whether a community works or just pay the fine of 100php, since I'm in a hurry that day, I choose to pay the fine. Since then, I'm started to get paranoid everytime I'm crossing the street, LOLz.. ^^

I admit I don't get to follow all traffic rules and regulations. Not to be delinquent or anything, but I am not the perfect kind. I am but human who makes mistakes. I commit the same mistakes you mentioned. But of course I don't do it all the time. I should start being a good example to my child even if she doesn't understand these things yet.

I'd say I cross sometimes in the middle of the street. Dont we all? I'd say I speed the normal limit. But I'd never run a red light cause most of them in our area at least they have cameras so you'd get a ticket. I've ran one red light so far in my life. My sister does run stop signs sometimes not on purpose.
Sometimes just speed through the yellow, if its better to keep going then to stop for sure!

Well, I have never been caught by a traffic control officer.I always obey the rules ,sometimes a little too much, lol i.e even when nobody is watching.I think it's for our benefit and safety. So,not following them is setting wrong examples which eventually will raise the chances of accidents.

Yes, generally. The only time I didn't was when I had an old mustang that had to be kept above a certain RPM until it warmed up or it'd stall out. Quite a few 'California stops' were done in Besty before that got fixed!

When I was a new driver, I would disregard the traffic signs when I know that there is hardly any other vehicle around. But as time went on, I have learned that quite a large number of accidents happen because of this. So, I am now an obedient driver. Although I must admit that there are times when I am so tempted to forget that there are rules to be followed when driving. Hehe.

Yes, I still obey traffic rules and regulations. It is there for safety and for your own protection. I have been in a traffic accident once and I was crossing an intersection when suddenly baam I hit a car crossing from the other side. Eventually he lost the argument because it's green on my side and he took the risk crossing. So it pays when you follow the rules and regulations.

Actually I don't have a car, so I just ride on jeepneys or bus for travel. So I can not say as of now if I obey the stop and go matter. But speaking of pedestrian crossing, well, I am the hard headed type of person, I sometimes don't cross the lane for pedestrian. I will walk even if it is not for people crossing. Sometimes also I crossed the street even if the traffice light says it is go. I am a bad citizen sometimes but I am trying to become good. I hope I can obey the traffic rules.

I think you'll be hard up to find someone who follows all the traffic rules and regulations all of the time. How many times have you seen a person run a yellow? Or someone forget to use their turn signal? I'm guilty of both.
