ok then, heres one.
i recently had to do a system restore. then i of course had to download and install all the misc software i needed to "get back to where i was before" the java, flashplayer misc stuff like that.
about 5 days ago i downloaded and installed AVG 7 anti-virus without any problems. i have been trying to download and install a spyware program. i have tried 4 different ones from cnet.com AND the alternative download sites...but i keep getting a "corrupt files, re-install" error message EVERYTIME.
ive done a full virus scan...found a Trojan that was fixed, but still have the same problem. im pretty sure that ALL the downloads from cnet and the alternate sites arent corrupt themselves so it has to be something on my end.
i have made sure that everything ive tried to download is compatible with my system etc.
any ideas??

sorry i get the message before im able to install.
in fact i noticed that say the download is 11mb and it will say i have 1hr to download..but it will finish in about 20mins instead..then i get that corrupted files message.
oddly enough i was finally able to download and install Spybot a little bit ago..but not the others.

What kind of internet do u use?
Coz the site will determine a speed based on th connection u have. If u have a fast connection then u've probably downloaded the whole file and the problem is somewhere else, but if ur using a 56k then u might want to consider using a download manager like flashget which will ensure that u complete the download. And bcoz u were able to get spybot i think u shud download thru a download manager.
