Yes I do. I think a hand written note shows more thought and effort than an email. It doesn't take much time to type up a quick email. On the other hand, an email is better than no "thank you"?

Generally, yes. I figure if the giver was so kind to send me something, or do something for me - then it is a good gesture to write a thank-you, personally, and mail it. Who does not like to receive a little personal mail? it is a small return gift, of thanks. I sometimes call though.

Definitely - I hand write all thank you notes, including notes for my daughter at the moment. I make sure she "helps" by telling me her favorite thing about the gift the note is for, and by drawing a little picture on the note - hopefully starting the habit early will instill it for a lifetime.

Of course yes because Mail doesnt give that effect as a hand written card...

When it comes to Thank you letter, I usually hand write it. But there are times that it is easier for me to express my feelings when typing so basically it depends on my mood whether I'll write or type it. I don't believe that the importance of your message is affected by how you deliver your message. It's the message that counts.

For my wedding, yes they were all hand written. FOr a lot of things, I actually call and thank the gift giver. I live far away from most of my friends, so they send me things in he mail. So I call and thank them. If my in-laws give us gifts, I try to hand write thank you's to them. My husband never remembers that kind of stuff...

Not usually. I usually send e-cards. I know that hand written cards mean more but I am just so busy with a new baby.
