I had a funny misunderstanding on the phone one time regarding spam.I was talking to a friend of mine just as his son got home from school and he was asking his dad what they had to eat.So his dad replys" I don't know.....go look in the kitchen".We continued talking for a few more minutes and than I hear his son in the backround"man we got a lot of SPAM".So I say to my friend"you guys don't really eat that stuff a lot I hope"....he just started laughing and says"no....not really".So now I'm sitting there thinking what's so funny about and when I asked him....he informed me that his son was talking about junk emails not the food.I really felt like a big dummy...but I have to admitt it was funny.
I can understand why they named junk emails SPAM.....not like any good cuts go into the other SPAM.
So If I get it on my PC....I delete it and if I get it at home....I give it to someone that will actually eat it :)

well I put mine in my block address box for 30 days or til it fills up and then start over and sometimes I try to send a reply to them and if it comes back then I block it. and as for spam if you take it and cut it up in chuncks with mac and cheese, peas and some brocclic (couldnt think of how to spell it) but anyway take that and bake it in the oven for about 30 mins. and mmmmm!mmmmm! goood. lol

I'd take broccoli over peas any day LOL. It's so much better for you. We ate so much as kids, the only way I can tolerate it now is fried & covered in catsup, but that sounds pretty good. I just did pretty much the same thing tonight but with chopped chicken. :)

Hi Lynn, you must be talking about that canned food 'spam' lol. As for the other spam, my defination for spam is some way of soliciting which I don't like be it a website link to money games scam or MLM scam. I's not a spam to me if it can allow me to make some legitimate income like mylot. How I get here to mylot? It's from an email soliciting for newbies! I'm happy to join mylot, so, it's not a spam to me. Im short, it's a spam if only I don't like the invitation. What do you think? Tashi Khoo: http://lousyblogging.blogspot.com

I'd agree with you. Like my play on words? :)
I think it's interesting to see the variety of answers to this question. Not everyone sees things the same way, especially spam, so it's nice to consider different opinions and outlooks.

The whole idea of spam is disgusting. I stopped eating fast food 3 years ago.
When I stopped eating fast food I tried Subway but the meat tasted funny. So now I only eat their veggie subs.
Most people don't know this but we train ourselves to eat it. I can't eat a french fry from McDonald's the grease is so disgusting but I can make my own at home & it is fine.
Back to the subject... I LOVE the taste of that car wreck scrapped off of the road & potted into a can. It has a good combination of sweet & salty. I think that is what it has going for it.
Although I don't eat it very often, maybe once every 3-5 years, I would fry it just in a pan no grease. THat mess has enough so you don't need any. It can be grated on salads kind of like cheese. It can be added to casseroles and other dishes like baked macaroni.
As far as cooking goes the possibilities are endless. I just got the idea to mix it into deviled eggs.

If I had to eat it I am definitely going to mix it with something. One can only imagine what is in there.

I am not sure what it is. I remember my mom use to fry it, and we ate it with bread when we were kids. I see it in the grocery store, but I never purchase it. I think it might be fattening. I thought it was delicious product.

LOL, that's about the only way I'll eat it now. My first stepmother used it in EVERYthing, since it was cheap, so I got burned out on it fast. :)

Spam, spam, spam, spam...
Uh, no...
Randy Cassingham has an extensive spam primer on the web (http://www.spamprimer.com) that is very helpful.

Hahaha! I may have to check that one out. I haven't heard of it before, but I really don't care much for spam. :)
