Are preists are parasites?

As some religions says that there should not be any intermediator between God and human being! Then are the priestly class are simply parasites? If you give a rational and "reasonable" thought to the issue, they are earning their livelihood on others sweat! So will it be wrong to call the class as such as parasites

Yes your every word is correct. I have no faith in these religious mediators between God and me.But somehow all of us has a basic need to earn their livelihood as that is also a profession.Actually our ancient texts were written in sanskrit which is beyond those who have not learned sanskrit, so these priest use to translate the sholoks for the benefit general people and that is why they have achieved some importance as they can chant the scared words.
