YES! God gave some of us gifts that allow us to play an instrument. It may be singing, yes, that's an instrument, and guitar and drums. If you are in a church that seems to be asleep during the praise and worship time grab your instrument and dust it off, make a joyful noise to the Lord, even if it bothers the elders!

Amen to that!!!!! I've been in some churches where the elders don't like to hear musical instruments in church, or think its too loud. But it does say make a joyful noise unto the Lord, and thats what I do...In fact, the church I go to now, is kinda like that. We've got a young man that is the youth minister and music leader. He plays guitar and likes to sing all the praise and worship music that you hear these days, and at first the older folks didnt' like it. I once told him that if he needed any help, I'm here, I play guitar and bass guitar. He said that he didn't think the church was ready for it yet, but to keep praying. He told me that some of the older folks think that the PIANO is the only instrument ordained by God to be in the church. I couldn't believe it...but its getting better, even our pastor is up for a change in our worship service....
