Is it like lime wire.Where all the users of lime wire can share their file with other users of lime wire or its like 4shared where we can upload our files.

Rapidshare is a file sharing site. It is not a software. People can upload files onto this site and can download and share it with others to download it as well. Depending on the kind of user your are , non-member, free-member or premium-member you get various downloads and upload limits.
Most of the files and huge files, these days are shared at Rapidshare.

The definition given above is the official definition and is correct upto finest details..... in lay man's terms we can say that people come at rapidshare... upload stuff... and other users download it......
You can find latest versions of full and complete softwares here for free.... the key is to hunt for that particular file link on rapidshare.
Recently all the storage drives of rapidshare.de were full.. so they opened a new domain... rapidshare.com
