Yes, the star appears after 100 posts and does not affect earnings. It is simply some reflection of how the mylot community perceives you. But don't take it personally; you never know why people rated you one way or the other. While many try to do a good rating job and are very supportive, there are some who are motivated by something else. u will get a star after u complete ur 100 posts. i've got it just few days back. i also posted the same question that whether the start affects the earnings and most of the people said that it doesn't affect the earnings at all and it just shows the reputation that u have earned.
