my newest family member: sugar (chihuahua)

Congrats to becoming a chihuahua owner. Or i would say owned by a chihuahua. I have more than ten chihuahuas and each are different from one another. Chihuahuas are very frail and delicate dog, yet some can be and act like big dogs and still wont have any problem, they love to run around and play, but its best to limit their activities especially the small pups since they are prone to hypoglyecimia(low sugar attack), we confine our chis in small crate so as not to used up all their energy and give them time to run aorund and play. As much as possible, avoid putting them on high places like chairs, tables and furnitures since they have tendency to jump and brake their hips and legs. Also dont feed any chocolates since this are deadly to any dogs. Make sure that their doggy place is warm during nightime especially for pups. Puppies tend to be hyper active like kids having AHDH, but once they hit 1-2 years old, they will mellow down. Enjoy Sugar very much, I'm sure you'll be getting one chihuahua again in the future, coz as a sating goes "You just cant have one chihuahua."
