Why does a Culinary Arts course so expensive? I was trying to look for cheap tuition fee since I can't afford the tuition but it seems like everything's so expensive.

hi
i am a graduate in hotel and tourism management and culinary was one of my subjects....i am also going for post graduation and masters in culinary in united kingdom....next year....the tuition fees is so high because of the expensive ingredients that s=are used in the practical classes.....many of the ingredients used are imported or rather very expensive....the equipment used are also very expensive....specially the knifes......and on top of this the food that we make are eaten by the students itself and many a times students through that food because they don't like the taste of it as it may not suit their palate......so these are the main reasons for high tuition fees in culinary schools.........

I graduated with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. The high tuition fee is because you are paying for the uniform (chef's outfit), all the ingredients, the facilities you will be using and so on. If there is a Bar and Beverage class, you pay for all the garnished, the bottles of liqour, the liquer and all those stuff. The use of the utensil, the gas for the stove and so on. culinary arts is expensive but very worth it once you learn from the subjects and start applying it to what you cook.
