I am thirtyfour years old and need to loose about thirty pounds. I am trying to figure out what the best way for me would be. I'm going to cut back on what I am eating and drinking more water. I will also try to start walking about thirty minutes a day. I just don't seem to have time for anything else. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Hi..mrbranan.
These are 10 healthy foods for those who want to lose weight. Its seem a simple food for me.
Yams and sweet potatoes;for regulating blood sugars, insulin and metabolism then affect fat deposition.
Oranges, apples and grapefruits;these particular fruits contain high level of the soluble fiber pectin.Fiber slows digestion and eliminate toxin stored in body fat.
Sandwiches;choose bread with lots of seeds and heavy grains and stacked with vegetables such as tomato, cucumber, sprouts, lettuce, onion and deli meats.
Cereal;eat cereal with skim milk and berries. Its like 3 or 4 slices of bread or about 8g fiber per cup.
Salad;eat different kind of greens with yogurt dressing.
Quiche;best protein source to lose weight. Its made with egg-whites and a couple of egg-yolks.Add a little low-fat cheese, broccoli and spinach.
Yogurt:low fat products.
Almonds;monounsaturated fats which rich in omega 3 fatty acids to lower cholestrol.Just small amount of nuts.
Peanut butter;choose unsalted peanut butter.Another source of monounsaturated fats.
Hummus;with wholewheat pita bread and hickpeas, garlic and little lemon juices.

Its not always a matter of cutting back on foods as it is about eating the RIGHT foods. The walking sounds like a great idea...and eventually I would try to do walking intervals...intervals are great for fat loss!
I have a wonderful website for you with lots of great tips!!

hey, It's very good that you are trying to get back into shape! The best way to loose weight and be able to keep it off is if you start eating healthier. For instance, you can eat brown rice instead of white rice, whole grain bread instead of regular all bread. Now, try not to starve yourself, because in the long run you will end up overeating when you have the chance. I am a member of a web site which tells you how to loose weight is totally free and very easy to use. www.foodfit.com
The best way to loose weight is to keep on being motivated.

(If you're a female)
Since you're 34 years old, there's a good reason you're trying to loose weight. You're reaching the years of pre-menapause and that my dear triggers a domino effect on your body. Your hormone levels are out of whack and you're more than likely going to experience moodiness, cravings, hot flashes and weight gain. All of this is because your body is no longer producting the hormones that was once so readily available to you during your younger years. Of course, this isn't going to slam down on you all in one blow; it's a gradual process.
You have a great plan, there. Keep watching what you eat, increase your water and do some exercise. If you want, there's a diet health style geared specifically for woman our age and is proven most effective. It's called the Tahiti Trim Plan 40 by Tahitian Noni International. [TM].

If you are going to take up walking make sure you wear good comfy shoes that provide support as you don't want to end up with sore feet and ankles. Also aim to walk 10,000 steps a day, even if you have to work up to it over a few days or weeks as this is guaranteed to make you lose weight and become healthy. You will be suprised at how soon your fitness improves and how each day you will feel fitter and able to walk further. Drinking more water is always a good idea even if not on a diet and trying to eat more fresh food and less processed foods will help as well. The problem with processed food is we cannot see all the added sugars, salt and fats, but when we eat fresh foods or even frozen we know what is added as we add any flavourings etc ourselves. Have fun on your walks and remember aim for 10,000 steps at each walk.
