clark's space ship

in season 3 of smallville, in one of the episodes, clark destroyed the space ship by placing a cryptonite octagonal disc on the space ship thereby destroying the ship.
But, in the cartoon in his adulthood (superman) he used the spaceship in one the episodes. did he recreate it?

if you noticed smallville is nothing like the superman movies clark isn't even know as superman in that show he just has a gift. the ship isn't the only thing that is different. lois lane isn't there instead its lana and she ends up with lex. in smallville lex is clarks friend in the movies he's his enemy even in the comics lex is the enemy not a friend

yea there are alot of differences which i think makes smallville as good as it is. Whats the point in it following the comics or cartoons as we will know what happens all the time. I think changing it but ending up the way its upposed to be is an excellent way of doing it and why i enjoy smallville.
