Favorite Soap Opera

I watch Days of Our Lives too. A friend got me into it during the Salem Stalker plot. I've not been too pleased with all of the actors and actresses being replaced lately though... every time I get used to one change, they implement another!

I've never seen Passions. What makes it better than the rest?

I like the camera work in Passions, as well as the use of more natural light and the variation of settings. Also, they go for some pretty wild topics! Whites are almost a minority on Passions, and it deals with racial issues, issues with sexuality (including homosexuality, homophobia, infidelity, and um... less legal practices), issues with religion and faith, etc. They come up with some pretty entertainingly outrageous plots, and those are done with humour so that, even though it gets corny, it's almost as though they're taking advantage, making fun of it, etc.

I've actually seen most of that as a kid while my mom watched that soap. Amazing, isn't it?

What makes Passions different from other soap operas?

Those are the two that I watch as well! I really enjoy them.

Bold and the Beautiful is getting pretty wild now too, isn't it? What about Nick and Stephanie?

I haven't watched that for years. I must be missing out, huh?

I like As the World Turns and Bold and the Beautiful too.

I used to watch General Hospital years ago. I guess it still must be good.

I thought everyone watched soaps!

Why not Days of Our Lives anymore? Has it gone downhill?
