What do you think about your ratings?
The little star by the left of your name, what does it represent to you? Your reputation on MyLot? Or just a little star with a number on it?
I found ratings as the chance to let other people look at the quality of your post and judge on it, and the chance to
judge other people's post by your own standards too. Although I haven't reached 100 posts yet to actually get a star by my name, I still found ratings as a quite important thing on MyLot. Only from that you can know how good of a poster you are. Even if I have a low rating I just know that I need to improve the quality of my posts.
Do you always rate other people's posts? I think I don't do as much ratings as I'm suppose to, so that's a thing to work on. But do you? I've probably only rated a few times since I have came on to MyLot, but I haven't yet rated someone negatively, as I remembered. When I found someone's post or their views spectacular, I usually give them a good rating. But what are your standards of ratings?
I also think that ratings is a good way to encourage people to post more and be more active on MyLot. There's a lot of good posters on MyLot but there's always room for more. But in a bad way, ratings could also be the reason that some people don't like MyLot. They get bad ratings and they think that they was treated unfairly.
What do you think about ratings? Is it good or bad?

Well, I stopped using Mylot for about two months and when I came back the ratings were new to me. I just came back last night actually.
I'm still not excatly sure if my rating is good or not. It's all very confusing. However, once I figure it out I believe that it will be very helpful for me.
As for rating other people..I believe I rate other people's comments and post more than I actually comment.
