How long have you been best friends

My best friend and I have been friends since we were teenagers. Needless to say that was about 20 years. The other day another friend of our dropped her best friend after only a couple of years. We have noticed that every couple of years she does this. I don't understand if they are such good friends how can she just drop her like she was nothing. I couldn't see doing that to my best friend. How long have you had yours and would you ever drop her?

i've been playing with my best friend since 6th grade. so that makes it...8 years. i haven't seen her in a while because she went to a different college but i still talk to her online every once in a while. when she comes back to town it's like she never left.

I've been with my best friend since we were in 2nd grade, almost 25 years ago. I don't know what we'd do without each other! We talk on the phone every Wednesday morning for at least two hours. I'd never drop her, but I think we play well off each other because we lead such differnet lives. I'm married, 3 kids, coach soccer, etc..She's not married, however she's been living with one of my ex boyfriends for about 7 years, working on her doctorate, and no domestic skills at all. I couldn't bear it if she wasn't around, her and I are closer than me and my own sister.
