If anyone uses the alarm, I don't think it would be a matter of choice. :P
If you need to wake up, you just need to wake up - even if it means getting irritated. That's the way, my friend. :P

I am not a light sleeper so I definitely need an alarm otherwise I wouldn't wake up at all! I have been known to sleep through important things before so I defiantly need an alarm clock. Sometimes I use my mobile alarm clock! Have a nice day.

Well we are very different. I am a heavy sleeper for one, but I tend to wake up after about six hours of sleeping. I usually wake up at around 6:00 AM and maybe I'll go back to sleep for an hour or two. But then I have to get back up again because I can't sleep any longer.
I always set my alarm clock to wake me up by 8:00 AM but I usually wake up before it goes off. I keep it around for insurance purposes, as I don't want to be late for work. So just in case I might oversleep, I will have my alarm clock ready everyday.
:-P

WIthout an alarm clock I would be in such trouble!!! I can't wake up without one!! ( not reliably anyway...) I am a late bed goer so I really have to make sure I have the alarm set to get up for work...I used to be a light sleeper until my kids grew up and moved out!!! NOW I can sleep through a thunder storm!!!

My alarm clock is my cat. She sticks her paw into my mouth to wake up. My husband uses an alarm, as he has different times to wake up daily. I rated your post with a +. It's cute. Thank you for it.

I ten to program myself as well. I am not a light sleeper though, I sleep really sound and hard. But I can program myself to wake up any time I need to. I have never been able to wake up by an alarm clock though. If I am really tired the only thing that will wake me up is a telephone.

hi, you and joey were the same. not a light sleeper but can wake-up on time without alarms. if tired and the phone rings which will wake-you-up, maybe the reason is you expect someone specials call :)

I wake myself up.
Strangely enough I can wake up around the time I would like to get up. Most times it's 30 mins before I plan to get ready etc, Although my wife uses her alarm clock in her mobile and I sleep through any type of alarm.
Deep sleeper here.

I have to use my clock and my cell phone. I could never tell myself that I am going to get up at 6 AM and really get up at that time - ha!

If you are alrdeady having the habit waking up everyday at the same time alarm clock is not necessary for you unless you have to wake up at a very particular time like 2.30 morning for a special task you need the help of the alarm clock. Am I right?

actually, even at that special time at 2:30 am, i used to get up but i did try setting the alarm but still i wake-up earlier that the setted time. maybe becaue i am aware the alarm will ring at 2:30 and i really hate its annoying sound:)

When I stopped working early in the mornings, my alarm clock was switched off straight away. I used to use a radio alarm which is a bit easier on the ears and nerves than an alarm! lol. However, I listen to the birds' dawn chorus now, and the light wakes me, if I'm not snuggled under the duvet, so who needs the darned alarm... it just wakes you with a headache! :-(
I sleep a regular number of hours now, anyway, so it's not worth torturing myself! :-)

I have to use the alarm clock, because if I don't, I will not wake up in time to get my daughter up for school. Thankfully, it is one of those where the beeping starts off really soft and works up to a really loud beep. I usually wake up at the first tone, but I hit snooze about 3 times every morning. Some habits just never die! LOL

i use my alarm clock on my mobile phone, i always depend on it. most of the time i dont hear it and it is quite loud, i suppose most nights i get into really deep sleeps. its a good idea that you are programmed to wake up as you will never have to listen to an annoying alarm clock

I think I have pretty programmed my body clock by now, but I still use the alarm clock just in case. I had a very bad experience of tardiness in the Philippines, and now that I'm working in the U.S., tardiness is a big NO. It's this fear actually that makes me still use the alarm clock. The sound is loud and terrible but it surely wakes me up on the first few beeps. I also have it positioned on the farther side so that I would make it a point to stand up a bit in order to stop it from beeping.

hi there, yes tardinees is often acceptable in Philippines but in US it's a NO-NO. you are bright, you put the alarm far from you to make u stand before putting it off. that will lead your body be awaken as you need to walk a little . hehe

I still use my alarm clock specially now that I need to wake up really early to go to work. I have rarely woken up before my alarm clock, that's a real big problem for me. I usually set my alarm 30 minutes before I'm supposed to wake up because I like to snooze a little bit as well. I don't know, I just love my sleep so much..LOL
