I've had people try to hypnotize me and I wasn't sure that I was really hypnotized. What does it feel like? What happens when you're hypnotized?

I've been hypnotized. You can't just have people try, you have to have someone trained in it. I have anxiety and I constantly shake.
But when I was hypnotized all the people around me said I was so calm and I wasn't shaking at all. Your mind goes blank which allows the hypnotist to try to do whatever you are there for. For me it was to bring back memories I had repressed from childhood.

Did the anxiety and shaking stay gone afterwards? Hope so. They say hypnotism can help with things like that.

It did help. I went to ten sessions..which is really not that much considering I was going to the psychologist once a week anyway...before I went to college. I used to not leave my house unless it was for school or work. And I would cry all the time at work because it was so stressfull for me.
Now I can easily live my life and go to the post office or the store without being scared. However, I'm still very introverted and shy but that is just my personality.
Thanks for the best response!

I'm so glad it helped! I've heard therapeutic hypnosis can help many things. Sounds like you got a good hypnotist!
