when i had my now 15 year old at a hospital in milwaukee she came out with her cord wrapped around her neck so they took her out of the room right away i only saw her for a split second i was told it was a girl they came in awhile later and told me she was doing fine but they needed to keep her in by them overnight to keep an eye on her the next morning they they brought her in to me then later that afternoon a nurse came in and asked my if i wanted my baby circumcised i told her i had a girl and she said she was sorry and left anyways when i got her birth certificate it said male on it and if that wasnt bad enough i also kept getting a phone call from a man telling me he knew i had a baby and he was on his way to get it the phone calls were made from a pay phone outside the hospital i was told and they didnt find anyone but they had security guards stand outside my door all night so id like to hear from anybody who has a hospital horror story to share

I too had my baby whisked away because the chord waswrapped tightly around her throat when she was born. I didn't even get to have a real doctor or nurse present, just a 4th year med student who was on speaker to the OR where they wee doing an emergency c section on a woman who didn't want one.. I decided to have a tubal ligation, so when i was under, one of the nurses decided that she deserved my daughter more than i did and filled out forms saying I was giving my baby for adoption. If 3 my ob/gyn guys hadn't been in the hospital when they refused to bring my baby, I'd have killed someone. It took 4 hours to sort things out, and they fed her a bottle before I saw her again. They fired the nurse, who apparently had been on the top of the list for adoptions, and she was taken off the list and charged with attempted kidnapping. luckily, she pled guilty, so I didn't have to go to court.

wow! I am glad that things turned out the way they did and you were reunited with your baby.

I was told that i was pregnant...4 weeks later the hospital called to tell me that i wasn't pregnant, that i had everything inside but the fetus, and that if i didn't miscarry within a week I would have to be admitted for a DNC...I knew I was pregnant, I felt it. Doctors even told my hubby that i would do everything possible to convince him otherwise, and I did, and every time I would say something he would shoot me down and try to convince me I wasn't.
After two weeks and nothing hadn't happened, I checked into the hospital awaiting the procedure. I begged them first to give me another ultra-sound, before I signed any consent forms they took me to have another ultra-sound, and wouldn't you know it!!!! i was pregnant with a 8 and half week healthy fetus, who is now my 13 year old son. I cant even imagine what would have happened if I had just signed the papers and went into the OR to have a DNC!!

i am so glad you went with your gut feeling we mothers always seem to be able to sense these things dont you just hate that when the doctors act like we dont know when something is different with our own body

I am glad I went with my gut feeling as well...I wouldn't have my precious boy with me now if I had just gone into the OR for a procedure to remove an unborn underdeveloped child. They told me after that the ultra-sound machine magnified the uterus but not the baby, thats why he was so hard to find, or see. Old equipment they said...sigh..
