Do you think that Dexter should have killed Rudy?

Dexter had to kill Rudy because Rudy was dangerous and was going to kill his sister. I think that it was the only way to wrap up the first season. I'm not sure what the second season will be like, but it'll be fresh and new, no more ice truck killer, but maybe a copy cat?

He had to protect Deb. She was his family, Rudy was a threat to her and that was something that he couldn't tolerate. I think the new season will be filled with more crap from the girlfriend's ex but then everyone has someone like ths t deal with. I think that she is getting suspicous of Dexter. I don't think that she would be angry with him because he did frame Paul to protect her & the kids. I can't wait for the new season!

Dexter had to kill him to save Deb, even though she's not his real sister, and although he denys having feelings for anyone, I think he does, but has them suppressed, so he really loves Deb as a sister. Also, having two serial killers go on just would have been too much. It would have been fun to see the brothers working together for a little while though. Can hardly wait to see season 2.

There would not have been closure without Rudy's demise, he was such a disturbed character, even more so than Dexter who at least had a code. The whole issue with killing Rudy brought about the best kind of emotional struggle in Dexter and it just made the series more rivetting.
Season 2 is over now and again the writing & acting has hit bullseye, Dexter grows stronger by the season. Heres to the Dark Passenger!

What is Dexter? The only Dexter I know about is the cartoon and it seems pretty obvious that's not what you're talking about.

Yes, he had to kill Rudy because he wasn't going to let his sister be harmed... But he was also following the code! He knew that was what Harry would want him to do!

Who is Rudy? was Rudy his brother? I know if he wouldn't have killed his brother there wouldnt have been closure to that case, so the second season can now be focused on the Bayside Butcher!
