well sun actually is white in colour...wud you believe this...?? the verious colours of sun during morning noon n setting ...is caused due to the dispersal of sun's radiation by the earths atmosphere... during morning n evening sun's rays travel for a long distance in earths atmosphere n so they apear red... in noon the rays travel short distance n so its bright n yellow...

during sunset, light from the sun travels low in the atmosphere interacting with more dust particles, and it also travels a farther distance. this causes the light to be "exhausted" making it "shift" to a "weaker" color, that is orange.
