the airgun would not have been invented if not intended for hunting, don't you think? because we do use airrifles to hunt birds --pigeons and such--, wild chicken, lizards, bats, occasionally wild boar, using lead pellets for ammo.
i personally have used pump airgun and CO2 rifles but i prefer the first. it is cheaper, more powerful, easier to maintain. you can't use scopes on it, though.
it's fun stalking birds and wild chicken with it. try.

I can't understand how anyone could find hurting a defenseless creature. What is the attraction to inflicting pain on some innocent bird? Does it make you feel like a big man? I just don't understand. Could you please explain it to me. I could understand if you armed the birds first then at least it would be a fair fight. I would even sign up for a license to hunt hunters but at least I'd give them a fighting chance and let them be armed!

we are not inflicting pain to what you called "defenseless creatures". we observe fair chase during hunting. Also hunting is some form of wildlife management. Too many and the land will not support them, they will die of starvation, so what we hunt are surplus, to manage wildlife population.
Do you eat fish? Fishing is also a form of hunting IMHO. Do you eat pork, beef and other meat products? Those creatures are commodities since birth, and they are also defenseless when being killed in slaughter houses.
Oh, BTW, fishermen and those people working on slaugther houses, do you want to hunt them also?
Just a thought.

Well its kind of fun to do it, but not to mention its good food, both for you and your pet, or in a worse case scenario another wild animals meal. Its just fun to hunt and shoot things because of the suspense of tracking the animal down then getting a good shot at it.
