I have slept for only 12 hours within the last two days. Mostly because I've been working on my website or on mylot.com
I felt a little dreary not necessarily tired until I hit my bed, after sleeping I didn't want to get up. I don't drink it but, some of out here drink coffee or do something else.

For me it's the excitement I get from reading the discussion, besides I am naturally hyper. Relying on coffee or some energy drink doesn't work for me.

I don't sleep very much at all. Last night I went to bed to 1.00AM and I got up again at 5.30AM. I made myself a cup of tea and then went on the internet for a couple of hours. At 6.30AM I did all my household chores and then had breakfast. I then went shopping and now I have the whole day to do as I please and I don't feel even the slightest bit tired.

I am not one to go without sleep. It is not good for health. And I do not encourage you to keep awake.
I will be kept awake if my brain has been very active throughtout the day. Recently, I also realised that I will be kept awake till morning 4am if I drink tea or coffee after 10pm. My discovery last few days was more shocking..... I am kept awake logon to myLot. My record time was 3 am where I had to stop myself and go to bed.

I am not very good at staying up all hours never have been even when I was young. I would say 25 hours was the longest that I ever stayed up. Now I can't stay up for even 12 hours.

I know this doesn't quite answer your question .. but for me it's how to get to sleep .. I have such problems with sleeping or staying asleep for more than a couple of hours ..
But once every few months I go through a period of not being able to stay awake .. just wanting to go to bed after being up for a few hours .. and that's a real challenge then to try and keep awake ..
Normally I drink a cup of coffee last thing .. and yes I know that's supposed to keep you awake but I have found that if I don't drink coffee I'll never go off to sleep .. (it's my weird body!) .. taking a cool shower sometimes wakes me up a bit .. but the one thing that does wake me up is having a snack .. sounds a bit crazy .. but then my whole body works in strange and twisted ways !

Probably the longest time I have not slept, in one night, is 5 hours. Sometimes I am not a good sleeeper.
I find it hard to fall asleep often.
I now take melatonin, a herbal sleeping tablet, and 20mgs of phenergan, an ellergy tablet.

The longest was 4 days straight. But keeping myself awake was not a problem 'coz that time I had insomnia. I never bothered to find ways to fall asleep 'coz I never felt sleepy hehehe
But nowadays I eat chocolates to keep myself awake.

I've been awake for about 48 hours because I didn't want to. I felt like bad but in the same time good hard to explain but when you been awake for so many hours you can be tired for three hours and feel bad then suddenly you feel alert for two hours!
don't drink to much coffee, drink water, keep yourself on going clean the house or something and do something that makes the time go fast!!!

I've been awake for over 48 hours before. But I'm bipolar so I don't think you'd like the baggage that comes with that.

Great question, Sometimes we need to be awake like for grave hour shift. It is not however healthy to not sleep continuously, lol. You'll get sick. You know there is a formula from all natural ingredients that can keep you energized the whole day, it is taken after breakfast, If you need to be awake in the evening and still get healthy I recommend this. take it not later than 3pm so you can sleep in the morning. It is healthy and it works, Try to check it out, here is the link http://pldegsi.tryxhf.com

Keep the room very cold. Use old wooly gloves with the fingers cut out so you can grip the pen or tap the keyboard.
2. Eat a Slim Jim or other sufficiently pungent foodstuff. Your breath will keep your head from dropping to your chest.
3. AVOID...your bed, hot showers/baths, the horizontal position and "easy listening" music.
4. Wash your face and brush your teeth once an hour.
5. Change your clothes, right down to your underwear. No jammies!!
6. Go for a brisk run in the cool night air, or take walks every couple hours. Not only will it jolt your sleepy nerves, it's good for your heart, too.

I had ever awaken for 3 days in a row. It was in Junior High, I was a committe in my School Anniversary. I was responsible fo the stage-making. The stage itself erected in 1 full day, and I did not sleep. The next morning I went home, and rushed back to the location to re-check the stage and for stage test. After trhe show, i had to demolish the stage until the next morning.
I can't sleep because I always had something to do.. I always busy, so if you want to stay awake, just do anything that will override your brain's sleep program.

Yes, after 3 days with no sleep, I need 1 week to restore my power back. But unfortunately I still had to go to school that time, so I sleep early in the evening and spend 10-12 hours to sleep.

I have gone 24 hours without sleep but not because I wanted to but was forced to for one reason or another. I used to manage a motel and my night auditor taught me that when you are really tired and want to wake up then brush your teeth. It is amazing how much it really does work. The mint tooth paste and the refreshing feeling you get from brushing your teeth does help. I know I gave that tip to anyone I trained on being a night auditor because of course falling a sleep while working is not a good thing.

I keep myself busy doing something. The past 2 weeks I was on midnight shift and now I am back to days. While I was on the midnight shift I often visited My Lot and racked up the discussion points and $$$.
Usually whenever I am up for a long period of time, my body begins to twitch and I get a tummy ach. My sleep patterns very so much, I am uncertain the longest time I have ever been awake.
