long distance relationships

what do you think of long distance relationships.can the culture differance and the differant life styles be overcome.i am seperated from my wife at the moment and we have both found it very difficult to live together.im ftom the uk and she is from south america.

I personally don't believe in long distance relationships. I believe that proximity matters a lot. At first, it might work, but eventually, it won't work any longer.
