according to NCEP, males with more than 40 inch and females with more than 35 inch waistline are into the risk of developing heart disease sooner or later. abdominal obesity is the root of many illnesses like hypertension, obesity, heart disease, mental ill health.....
so, get conscious guys, check your waist circumference and get going to settle for less. it's now or never.
mine is 29, what about you??

Hi Mimpi, mine is 29 and I know I won't be reaching that figure because you alerted me so early in my life. I would like to add one more point to your discussion that the instruments which are sold in abundance in market to reduce weight are nothing but bullshits. I have marketed those products and I know their real value. The best way to keep healthy is have a healthy diet and do some exercises or even just walk a few distance. This will burn your calories and there would not be any chances of becoming obese in fact in addition you will have a sound sleep at night. For people who are obese should try out yoga it is very beneficial.

could not agree more on this. eating healthy and wise, working out, walking a few kms daily, and sleeping are the key to our good health. i am not sure about equipments of localmakes, but i am pretty sure about the lack of proper expertise to guide us to help through gyming. i would rather rely on swimming, cycling and WALKING, as you have mentioned aswell.
thanx so much for your input.

I think you should stop having junk food, and you should at least devote 15 minutes for yoga everyday from your busy schedule

I wonder if this takes into consideration how large/tall a person is? I am still OK, by the above guidelines, but because I am very tall (6'4"/194cm tall) and not of an overall "thin build," I do come pretty close to the upper end of the scale. But this was true, also, when I was young and at University and in very good physical shape.
But it is a good thing to stay aware and awake, when it comes to staying healthy.

i am afraid the statistics is irrespective of the height! i get that you are nearing the red mark. never mind, we can always work on our discrepancies with so many techy things to assist us. be fit, healthy and MOTIVATED for at the end of the day it's our health that's gonna pay off. Health should be the no. 1 priority in life. what do ya think?

I am happy to know I am still out of the health department's scanner.I prefer to sweat it out than feel unfit during the day.Mine is 28 and it hardly changes more than 2 inches in a year because I do weights.I might not login in Mylot ,but going without exercise spoils my day completely, lol. As long as I live,I'd like to stay healthy because I have seen the complications associated with obesity.Atherosclerosis doesn't bother me as much as immobility and I do my bit to keep them at a distance. It's better to watch my diet while time is on my side than repent later.
