I just got my first star, after gaining 100 on this MyLot.
However, i've been awarded a '5'.
Could someone alert me to what the '5' is all about and how i improve that number ?
Not sure really if the number carries much weight, but the presumtion is that a fellow poster see's a 9 and thinks the response will be better than from a '4' ?

its simply to do with your overall mylot reputation, It means that you have about 50 percent of your responses have got a plus rating. Depending upon the quality of your discussions and your responses it will rise
so keep on posting
blessed be

She is right, it is about your over all reputation here in mylot, and people rating your discussion + is only a part of it. Since it is "overall reputation" the way you comment on other discussions has also a bearing.
You can increase your rating of 5 to the maximum of 10 when you get + rating from people, when you rate other discussions, when you post and comment quality discussions too. Its all about your involvement/participation in mylot community. It also include even choosing best responses in your discussion.
I hope you enjoy your stay in mylot.
and congratulations, you got a star within 2 days! wow you must have spent your whole day in mylot to post 100 comments =)

I think it was all about finding out how the place works and launching in. Only having joined yesterday i've found myself with $1.39..so it doesn't seem a bad way of benefitting from something new and fresh either :)
Stepping through in a more controlled manner and tweaking here and there must be a route i guess.
Thanks for the well wishes mayenskie.
