What Political Party Do You Support, And Why?

Wondering what political party everyone belongs to.
Myself, I support The Democrats. It's simply a "not voting against my economic interest" situation, though, it isn't like I harbor any great idealistic belief that they're that much better than the other guys. But not being rich and living on a fixed budget, it's better for my life to vote for the guys who at least have picked people like me as their group to pander to.
I don't begrudge anyone who is a Republican, if I had a ton of money to protect I'd probably want to vote for the guys who afraid to tax it, but as for now, the Democrats are my best bet I have to say.

I don't belong to or favor any particular political party. I vote for individuals who share my beliefs and attitudes regardless of their party but really tend to favor the candidates who delare themselves to be independents.
In both the Democratic and Republican parties there are individuals who are socially and economically liberal, those who are conservative on both of those fronts, those who are extreme in one direction or the other and those who are strictly "middle of the road" so voting for a political party rather than a candidate can't really guarantee the results you get.

True, I didn't really think things through from that angle. I have voted for Republicans in the past when there were reverse trends, so to speak.

I consider myself independent. I lean right on most issues, but I don't vote republican or democrat, I vote my conscience. For example, in 2004, I wanted Bush to win because I thought he was better than Kerry by far, but I personally was opposed to Bush as well. So I voted with the candidate that most closesly matched by views - the Libertarian. I have also supported the National Patriot Party, Ross Perot, Michael Dukakis, Bob Dole, and even W in 2000.

I am a registered Democrat. However, I do not support all democratic candidates. I vote for whoever I think is the right one for the job, according to my beliefs and values.
