There are some preprinted pages available as well. All you have to do is crop a picture to fit, write your own story and it's finished. These are a great way to begin, but do feel mass produced. You can always make them more personal with stickers and embellishments. Also, if your daughter is old enough-let her help. She would love to put stickers on, pick out ribbon colors or arrange the picture her way. It's a great bonding opportunity and she can look back at the memories on the page and the time you shared.

Go to this website www.creativememories.com/ and see if there is a consultant in your area. They have products that will preserve your pictures instead of just make them look pretty. They will show yu how to make your pictures and turn them into memories that will last forever.

I love scrapbooking and have albums started of three out of my five chidlren started already . What is so fun about scrapbooking is that it is all your own idea's , you can do anything you like and it will come out very nice as it will have your own personal touch . The first thing you need to do is decide what size album you would like to start and then you have to go get the paper that fits that size . You will find all this stuff that you need in any scrapbooking area in any store that carries scrapbooking supplies . You can get stencils , stickers , different paper , pretty much anything you might like but to cut down on cost you can use anything you have around the house also . Then you start making up pages however you like them to look , if you want to do a lot of journalling in your albums you can go buy any of the pens they have out there for that and they are not too bad in price you can also get all the funky sissors to make your pages look a little different . Then when you feel you are ready to start a page you have all your stuff together and you just assemble it all on the page the way you want it to look . You can do anything , for example when you want to do up a page of your baby's first haircut you can put in a piece of her hair from her first haircut and then it will always be there for her to see what color her hair was . You can add pictures of her from that day or just make the page all about her hair . One of my favorite pages that I did up has no picture of my daughter . It is a page of her two feet that I had got on the page by putting her footprints in ink on the page and then the whole page is about how our baby's grow up way to fast and it is a way for me to see how tiny her little feet were years from now . To get some idea's you can visit www.dmarie.com that was the first site I ever used to inspire me as they have thousands of pages made up by others and so there is a variety of idea's for you to use . Just remember to have fun and enjoy what you are doing and your pages will be beautiful as they will be a special touch just for your baby where you can talk to her so she will see just how important she was in your life , always . Hope I was able to give you some help !!

I have one for both of my kids, The fist page of coarse being the day of their birth. A baby picture of them with a reduced copy of their birth certificate, and message from mommy about the day they born... The best thing about scrapbooking, is that everyone of them is different and there is no wrong way to do it, put your heart into it, and it will always be perfect.

I would suggest looking for a starter kit at a arts and crafts store. I have a starter book from Better Homes and Gardens that has all the basic tips and starter pages, extras for scraping in the back of the book. Most arts and crafts stores have single starter pages!
