I make my really big meal every year for Christmas , when we invite all the family to come up . I usually make a ham and a turkey , mashed potatoes and scallop potatoes , turnip , carrots and corn , stuffing and a glaze for the ham and then I usually have cookies , pie and , banana bread and cherry cheesecake along with chocolates and all them goodies we usually buy at Christmas time for desert .
I don't like cooking as I don't feel like I am that great of a cook , so I only like to cook for my family but I love to cook at Christmas , just because I love having all the family together and my husband is really good to help me get everything ready so it just makes it more of a family day and you are not stuck trying to get everything ready yourself .

I like to make big meals on the weekend but I am a stay at home mom so I do usually make a good meal every night. Just a big one like fried chicken and mashed potatoes corn on the cob and somekind of bread with it on Sunday. Just because my hubby is home to be my assistant, lol.

We try to eat light most of the time but once a week I make a big meal. Usually on Sunday afternoon (when we get back from church) I can take the time to prepare something (like a roast or lasagne) that will take a while to cook. Occasionally I do this on Saturday but more often on Sunday. When we have a big meal like that in the middle of the afternoon it makes the rest of the day easy because we can just have a little snack later instead of preparing another meal.

The weekend or on your day off. I would prepare a big meal only when there are a lot of people over at my house. I would not incourage to make a huge meal when you have to work or go to school the next day, there can be a lot of dishes and messes left over after wards.

I cook a pretty big meal every night of the week. I have 4 little boys and a husband who LOVE to eat, and I LOVE to feed them! My kids always ask me first thing in the morning what I will be cooking for dinner. My oldest son, who is 10, told me that he will not marry any woman who can't cook as good as me! I laughed and told him that if he fell in love with a woman who couldn't cook, I would teach her how....

big meals or heavy meals usually for lunch since we usually get breakfast in a hurry with only milk & bread . when i bring lunch it should have rice , pork or fish dish then a vegetable serving also & a glass of juice . when an occasion comes also with a family gathering big meals will usually be prepared at home than buying from fastfoods .

I always try to make a big dinner on sundays. It seems its the only day of the week that we all have a chance to sit down and really enjoy it. We also usually have company over on sundays. It also gives me a chance to start something early and work on it all day and I also have the chance to make a dessert. Its always been like that in my family.
