Are women more mature than men?

I have often wondered about this, but still cant seem to figure it out. Between a woman and man of same age, it always seems that the Woman is more mature, is more understanding and more emotional. I think that majority of the times this is true. Is there any scientific basis for this fact, or is it just a myth?

It really depends on your definition of maturity. If its emotional understanding then yes. If its the ability to not let emotion overide your logic , no. Each gender has its benefits and drawbacks thats why we function as couples.

i think that has been true for ever...not saying that all men are like this but there are a few that i know and to married to them would drive me NUTS!
