What if your best friend tells you he loves you more than a friend?

Do you think relationships like this last? Although the foundation of the relationship is friendship, some end up breaking up and eventually loosing the friendship. Some say, they don't want to fall in love with their best friend because they fear they will lose the friendship when their friend learn about the other's feelings. Well, there are some who eventually end up getting married. But, is it important that the two parties be good friends first and eventually fall in love?

I have friends started their relationship as friends then as you said became partner in life. And I do have friends also end up with bitter experiences with that setup and now end up like they didn't even know each other.
So for me its a gamble and each party should be prepared to what would be the consequences should they try to take it that way. If its failed then be ready to move on and hopefully keep the friendship back again. Its easier said than done.

It's too bad if some relationships ends up as if they didn't know each other and never be friends again. But I admire those people who regained their friendship back inspite of what had happened with the relationship.
