I am looking for fun family traditions for Easter. One I hope to start in my church is to find families with kids and then suprise them by "hiding" eggs on their front lawn the night before, so when they wake up they will have their eggs waiting for them. Thanks, ksgirl

Creating good family traditions and good memories is one of the best things parents may give their children I think! the family traditions for Easter in the family I grew up in was going to the cabin in the mountains. My aunts and uncles, plus some frinds, had cabins close by. We'd go for long cross country ski walks. We'd make a fire and grill hotdogs. We'd have ski jump competitions. We had a dree up ski race every year. We'd visit eachother at night and play lots of fun games, or listen to the radio theatre together. I do not think it is all that important what your traditions are. I believe the important thing is to find nice things you can all enjoy together - things that will make you all look foreward to next easter. Hope you'll have a great easter, with the new tradition of an egg hunt at your church!

Thanks, I think family time is so important too! Sadly, my family is not as close as yours sounds like it is, and I have always wanted that! We get together for lunch, but never for several days! Maybe I will have that kind of relationship with my kids, how do you encourage that kind of committment to grow?

I think that spending quality time with the kids, and showing them love and respect, will go a long way

SEVEN!?! That is awesome!!! I am an active church member, I'm there every Sunday, but I have never been able to go on Easter since we go to my parents house for lunch, I would really love to be there though, maybe I can at least go to Sunday School. Thanks, you have inspired me!
