No this is something I have been able to avoid so far. It could be though that it's because I really haven't talked a whole lot on the internet until I signed up for mylot. :) Give me another year and it may have changed.

No, that has never actually happened to me - but I am not using "alot" of internet language, even when writing so that might be why =) I also do not speak english with friends since it´s not my first language!

Yes many times! Not only that I work in an office where I have to send professional emails all day and I am usually in msn chatting with people and writing these emails. I find myself using computer language in these emails. I have to proof them several times before I send them. I can imagine a President or Owner of a big company who does not even use a computer getting these emails. My boss does not have a computer we have to print all emails for him so I know he would be confused if he ever received one like this.

i don't find myself do that while i am talking to someone, but i do find myself doing it in my work emails, like i will try to shorten everything and use numbers instead of using to or before, when i have to talk about my boyfriend i just type bf. my boss just laughs at me, at least she has a good sense of humor.
