i have seen couple of pots where people are talking about quality posts..i am bit confused that what are the quality posts at my lot...

When people talk about quality posts they simply mean people who give a decent and full reply, or an interesting and different discussion

Also do not post a yes/no campaign as discussions and comments should be at least two lines of text. If the discussion generates plenty of comments to form decent threads then that constitutes a quality discussion with plenty of ratings added as well.
