IS EVERY ONE ALLOWED TOPOST DIRECT AFFI8LIATE LINKS TO MAKING MONEY ONLINE OPPS ON MYLOT OR NOT?
I just don't get it..I can understand our blogs or websites as it is an indirect formof advertising. I am so confused because I cone across so many here that only post discussions on make money here..make money there..join through my link..and most of those people rarely post in other peoiple's discussions..is this allowedon mylot? I asctually for the first time deleted someone on my friend's list who when i looked at his profik,e out of curiosty found he had only spammed the boards with his links..I was getting his posts every day in my inbox..but HE NEVER RESPONDED TO MINE OR ANY ONE ELSES DISCUSSIONS..He besically was ONLY fishing for referrals..I so understand that we all like to network and are tryinbg to increase our business..even via Mylot but to only blatantly post discussions about your programs and not replying to any one elses discussions or contributing any thing else to Mylot.is a little one sided don't you think?
Am I being unreasonable in my deduction? Is this allowed by Mylot? Then I might as well post all my links why not?!!!

Oh yanji it is NOT allowed. In fact I started a discussion on this and even alerted you about it but you seem to have missed it. It is not allowed to start a discussion promoting a referral link to another site. It is however allowed to give links when a user starts a discussion and asks for them. But he shouldn't have given his/her own link in that discussion.
Please read what myLot had to say about this here:
http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/807957.aspx
Many suers are still NOT aware of this and often because others are doing it, everybody thinks its ok. It is against the rules and is reportable.

You will need proof that it is not allowed.
To do this, find one of these posts promoting their referral link and save it as a favourite/bookmark page.
After the first few days of the next month when myLot are doing their 'housekeeping' and deleting discussions, try and load the bookmarked page. Usually it is gone.
Just because you see it on the site does not mean that it will earn anything from myLot.

well..... my lot definitely is a place to earn but not only to earn./.... i guess you did the right job at your part in favor of the mylot community..... people like that who actually care a damn about the quality of the discussions of the site and actually keep on working as spammers should definitley be prohibited from the site infact, anyways.....
well if someone has joined me as a friend I definitely would like to want his opinion on my discussions and I guess that being humans that is quite normal and acceptable....right guys!!! what do you say?

We are in a community wherein we try to help people know other forms of alternative to earn online. We are in a discussion environment therefore, we as members have the right to accept, oppose or reject. Therefore I don't think it is completely unallowable to post referral links to join. Anyway people will always be curious as to what's beyond mylot. Mylot had already build it's good reputation and people will always come back here, wether for money or for pleasure.

I don't think that they're good. First mylot hasn't made it clear about the earnings and just pya on random. I think a new system should be introduced atleast.

I am seeing it more and more too. I am seeing it from seasoned, well-respected members, so I am to assume that myLot has decided to allow links! I see it in nice posts, hey come join me here...and their link. I have messaged myLot and asked them, and of course, no reply. If I have another site that I want someone to join, I private messgae them since it is supposedly against the rules to post a link in a discussion. I am beginning to wonder though....as it is rampant!

i have encountered with many post were members do a referral links to another site for making extra money. well i dont know if this is allowed but i think we are allowed here to post on whatever we want for as long as its not malisciiously written. and if your friend wont reply to other discussion and just posting some links then i guess its his lost too coz for sure he cant have extra earnings, coz if u will reply, post to discussion u can earn from it. i guess we have to go again with the rules and regulations on mylot so that if and ever he did against the rule then he should not be allowed in here.

posting links is NOT ALLOWED.why cant people get this into their heads.there have been so many posts and i am not exaggerating,so how or the other they try to fit in a link to promote the referral.people we need to either inform the user who posts the referrals that it is not allowed because most of them who post such links do it without their knowledge.if the users still continue to keep posting the links then i think it is our duty to report it.

i am not sure if this is allowed on mylot but i can say i dont post any links for other money making sites. it is a little bit shady just posting discussions about making money and not responding to anyone elses discussions. i agree you are correct in your deduction. if it is allowed then we should all post our links. great discussion yanjiaren

I think most people do that because they know they can make more money with referrals than by posting discussions and responses. I had one discussion that asked people to see my profile link where there are moneymaking sites, but since I didn't get much referrals then I don't do that anymore. Also, I prefer to exchange blog links because I like blogging and we can make money from blogging too anyway. No I don't think mylot approves actual referral links, it is not approved in most forums I joined so I'm sure it is not here either. But maybe they do it by deleting the liks, not the earnings themselves

hi Yanjiaren,
I am new mamber in myLot, and this is my first response in discussion. I read your discussion, as I am new so I am not much aware of the rules and laws of myLot, But on a moral ground I think that this is not fair to use this site for attracting some referrals or commercial pouposes. The original motive of this site is more catching that you can ask for help and suggestion from your friends if you are in confusion.
bye have a nice surfing.

A few months back I saw people questioning the same thing and mylot actually posted directly to the board to clear things up. As far as I know, people are NOT supposed to be starting their own discussions with their referral links included in it (this is understandable), nor are you supposed to include your referral link at the end of every single post you make. However, it is allowed to include your referral link in a discussion that relates directly to the topic, but only then.

I cannot clear it up for you, as I am puzzled myself, very often... I think the admin of mylot should point out more clearly whare he/she draws the line. Like you I have deleted so called friends from my list, not only because of the fishing expedition, but also for starting fake discussions in order to get responses...
I would so much like mylot to be a serious site, with quality discussions, but sometimes it detoriates into posting links... I did once myself, on the "make more money page" and only after requests...
You can post a link in your response, I understood, but not in an original posting... That much is clear to me. Furthermore... I don't know, and many with me, I think...

I know exactly what you mean... i hate people like that... ill admit a couple of times people have asked me for my referall link... but i dont not go out of my way to post it.. plus i reply to many peoples discussions and start my own... i dislike people like that though and i am the same as you if i get someone like that i delete them from my friends... i dont think it is allowed but the amount of people that do it i dont think mylot can cope... they will suffer when pay day comes round and mylot delete all the spam posts they have made! he he he. happy mylottin!

I too was confused a wrote mylot specifically and asked and was told it's a violation to post a link either in a discussion or in a response using a personal referral link.
If you like I can forward you the email that I was sent. I started a discussion about it but it was removed by mylot, as that was a violation also. :(

I don't think it is allowed. But so many people do it anyway (I don't). So you can either play the good Samaritan and report these posts or just ignore them like what I usually do. :P
