Me and my parents went to Acapulco, Mexico a few years back and while we were having dinner along the shore, three Mexican singers came up and played their instruments and started singing while we were enjoying our meal. The entertainment was very nice and relaxing and they were very good. Of course, we tipped them afterwards. Have you had something similar to this happen while enjoying a meal? It can a simple happy birthday song from the restaurant people or anything else that made your dinner more interesting and more enjoyable. :-)

We drove cross country to Oregon to visit friends one summer. They made reservations to go on a dinner cruise. It was called Hellgate Excursions. It was so much fun. We went down the river on a boat and we stoped at a site where the dinner was served. It was open air and the deer came right up to the rails. People were feeing them out of their hands. It was wonderful. I had never done anything like that before. It was really expensive but we had so much fun. The entire trip was fun. After dinner they took us back to our vehicles on the boat.

I gave you a + for this posting again. It is really nice.
I'm glad you had that nice experience.
We had a lovely time for our anniversary in Florida once.
We ate at a fine resturant, and the women came up to our table and was playing a harp. Very romantic.

Thank you for the + back. The harp is a lovely instument to hear. And the food was so gormet. I remember that after the salad, they brought us these mini lime sherberts, to clean the taste out of our mouths, while waiting for the prime ribs. It was in the Hyatt. Really nice.

I dont know if it's interesting..but can be .. I had a mishap while eating at a restaurant.. I ordered grilled cheese sandwhich and soup..Well when they brought me my cheese sandwhich it was not grilled and the sandwhich was barely toasted..I told the waitress and she took it back..When she came back to me..she brough me a grilled cheese sandwhich that was so black and scorched it would be good for a bbq grill.
I was so disgusted that I got up and left..
Was a very nice experience but interesting ..since the restaurant is suppose to be a very well known chain ..

My husband and I have been dinning at the quaintest little Italian Restaraunt for years now. Every Time we go to the city we have dinner there. The owner has known us for 25 years or so.
The first time we were just newly weds and he did some cute little tricks at our table with the dinner napkins, made a little mouse, a duck just as cute as could be. THen he would perform a little puppet show with a squeaky Italian accent.
He still does this puppet show for us every time. It's always like the first time. Just as fun. It takes us back in time.

I had an "interesting" (in a diffrent way) dining experience in a London restaurant with what turned out to be an obsessive "cutlery collector". Half way through the meal he announced to me that he just HAD to take some of the cutlery home and could he use my bag to do this? I refused of course...I thought it was embarrassing and would never do something like this myself but I felt on edge throughout the meal thinking he might sneak the cutlery in my bag.

I remember celebrating my friend's birthday once at Hardrock Cafe. We told the waitress on the sly that it is his birthday. And oh boy, he was in for a nice surprise when a bunch of the cafe staff came to our table and presented him with a birthday brownie and sang song (with the entire restaurant) for him. They also took a picture for us and he got to keep a fond memory on film. ;-)

Yes, on my 50th birthday I was surprized at an Applebees restaurant with a rousing rendition of 'happy birthday' by the waiters coming to me with balloons and a fudge sundae with a lit candle in it! I wanted to kill my husband! I have gone to Applebees for 3 years and never saw this happen to anyone, and I picked that restaurant for my birthday to avoid the embarassment. Apparently they do it and I always missed it - LOL! However, my husband had called and was happy to find out they would. Joke on me!

I have an experience but I wouldn't exactly call it relaxing ,lol, especially for my neice. My brother and his family took me out to dinner for my birthday with my dad. aBout halfway through the meal,my neice knocked her glass of soda over. Not only did the soda go all over the table ,it fell out of her hand when she tried to pick it up and it shattered all over! If that wasn't bad enough ,she tripped over the chair trying to go to the bathroom to try to get the soda off her shirt. My poor niece is like an accident waiting to happen!

Hi friend, your experience is cool...
Read mine here... hehe
Ahhmmm it was happened a one month ago..
Me and my friends got a vacation in one of the beautiful beach here in Philippines, its called Puerto galera..
They got a lot of tourist spots there.. Really awesome..
Anyway, We had a dinner in one of pine restaurants there, and they got a nice foods indeed..
Then while we're eating, there's a table that next to our table and there was a one Swedish guy sitting there..
He was like a tipsy guy that night or really drunk,
But he never caused any trouble there, hehe
it's just funny coz, while we're having our dinner,
That guy was saying something and bcoz we are just next to his table, we thought that he was talking to us and telling something so my friend, try to speak with him and the guy is still saying something..
So we noticed that he was not talking with us, he's just talking to his self alone.. LOL
And when he get up on his table, he walked by in front of our table, he said hi to one of my friend and he said something...
"Your hair is shiny, but i dont like the curly thing.."
And when he took a lil bit far from our table,
Me and my friends, looked with each other and we started to laugh so loud!!! LOL
That guy is amazing! hehe

Mine was also unforgettable. I was with my officemates at Vistamar, a local resort here in Mactan Cebu, Philippines for a team bonding. While we were enjoying our EAT ALL U CAN MEAL, a woman started to sing oldies in a very upbeat manner, accompanied by only a guitar and a harp. They singers were dressed in hawaiian style. Something different about it was that some of us would sing a part of the song in leiu of their vocalist and everybody would cheer. Everybody in the place warmed up so much that the resort ended up serving all the food they have..SUCH A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE INDEED!

I was still in my senior year in High School at that time. Me and my friends went on a camping. This was my first time to attent that kind of activity. We had our dinner together and I was expecting that we are going to grill or cook our foods in campfire. But not all of us brought their own packed food so the boys decided to collect all the foods of those people who bring their own food, and then they mixed all if it. They mixed corned beef, hotdogs, fried chicken, canned pork and beans, rice, etc. Woah!!!I was really shocked, I dont know if Im goin to eat that. The boys told me and the other girls that we could take it as a challenge, something like "Survival Africa," we have no choice, so we ate the food. Then, me and the other girls found out that it taste good. So no one of us is complaining with the foodthough it looks hell but it taste like heaven. We all ate our dinner on that camping, while others are sang and danced around the campfire!!!
