I agree with you that Windows 95 was a very stable operating system but with time the requirements change and so the operating system also changes and that is the reason why Microsoft has developed so many. They could have upgraded their operating systems but the game a lot of people want change and looks apart from the minimum requirements. After 95 I think Windows XP is the most stable operating system. It is very user-friendly, good-looking and resource friendly. With the launch of the latest version of operating system from Microsoft I think the market for computer hardware will change. The minimum requirements for a computer will change because of the introduction of Microsoft's latest heirs it has a lot of graphics" and cool effects.

yes i like windows 95, but i prefer win98 than that. one i thing i like about win95 is that it uses only a small disk space. but one thing i hate about it. too old and i cant find any compatible software to be used with this operating system.

Errr.. Windows 95?
That's the worst OS I've used. I have used all versions of Windows and I'd say it is at par with WinME when it comes to problems. And no, it isn't cool.

You are the first person that I have ever known to vote for Windows 95 as a good operating system. It may have been considered very practical at the time, but it is a long way from being worth praising.
The first really worthwhile operating system that Microsoft produced was Windows 98, which was a vast improvement on Windows 95.

i would rather have windows 98 as it was the better OS. after that the next big one was windows XP up until now. i would still consider using xp until they have ironed out all the problems of vista

Why in god's name would you think Windows 95 is cool? Seriously, it was the worst OS ever. My brother kept putting it on our computer and I would force him to remove it and reinstall DOS. It was a massive resource hog and despite having a Windows interface, it was not user friendly and locked the user out of key functions.
Windows NT was actually the first good Windows OS. In fact, many big businesses still use it on their terminals. Unfortunately it wasn't really released to the public. Windows 98 was the first good Windows OS available to consumers. I would probably rate Windows 2000 as the best Windows OS so far, but it has been slowly phased out as Windows XP is the most popular.
