For me it was the revelation. This is the part where hell becomes real and it just scares the hell out of me. And whats more scary is that fact that almost everything written on it has double meanings and you can never really tell what the verses really mean unless you really participate in a bible study. And its a bit graphic.

I like the part where the star Wormwood falls from the sky and poisons the lakes and the rivers of the earth and then the abyss is opened at the next trumpet, releasing the [Promiscuous Woman] of Babylon upon the seven-headed beast. Classic stuff, there. But why do you suppose there needs to be a Bible study? Didn't YHWH get it right the first time?

The latest budget put out by my local government!
I have no idea what was the scariest thing I have ever read.It might have been the biography of Idi Amin or the reports on how the explorers in the arctic and antartic had to do to survive. There have been books that have definately angered me,but not one that stands out to scare me.How about a book that explores the posibility of where planet Earth is headed?

I think it would have to be "The Stand" by Steven King....but it was so good, too. I read it years ago and now I'm thinking I may want to read it again.

I read some Stephen King stories every now and then, and he can write very very creepy stories. I read his short story books, Everythings Eventual and Night Shift. There are some very creepy stories in those books. You should def. check them out if you like getting scared!
Just a note his story Wolves of the Calla was awesome. It is EXTREMELY long and I hated when it ended!I wanted more! lol

House Of Leaves, I suppose.
The novel itself was not particularly scary, but the aftermath of reading it is. And by that I mean laying around in one's closet vomiting and trembling away from whatever mythical beast might come along.
