If you listen to Tangerine Dream - Phaedra with the lights out then it's incredibly frightening. I can't understand why, but it's so atmospheric and creepy. Your mind plays tricks on you.

Skinny Puppy can be incredibly scary sounding...especially if you are home all alone on a dark and moonless night. The composer John Cage is also extremely scary and jarring.

The scariest music I ever heard was the pounding bass crap coming from my neighbour's apartment that made my walls rattle. Someone once told me they thought my music by The Red Army Choir sounded scary. LOL I don't think it's scary at all, I think it's rather comforting. I love the sound of their deep voices, and the way they blend in perfect harmony. I also love the fact that I can turn up their music loud enough to drown out the scary crap my neighbours play!!
