I think we should be able to design our own kids using the power of genetic science that is available today. Why not decrease the rate of child hood diseases and adult onset weight gain?

We can design our own kid but only after they're born. We determine what kind of a person they will be in life from their upbringing. To genetically design a baby you might be possible but there are of course health risk and I don't think you would wanna do that to your offsprings. The beauty of procreating is to see a piece of you and your spouse develop into someone you want them to be and be content with it. DO not mess with nature's work. Be grateful that you are able to have one in the first place.

"designing" our own kids is a very interesting idea. who doesn't want to have a healthy baby, who only has the good qualities of their parents. we might be able to do this in the future but it's very debatable. it posts a lot of ethical concerns, i don't even know where to begin.
i still believe that our Creator has the ultimate say in the creation of our kids. i would be happy however He "designs" my child.
