Why do I stay at 9 and never reach 10 as in blue star by my name?

I see people with less postings then me that are a ten. I have been here a month and in the first 2 days got to a nine, but I have stayed at a 9 ever since is there a reason for this? Am I doing something wrong or is this good or bad. I do not understand. Some one know why?

Hang in there my dear friend. I felt the same way and had the same thing happen to me then one morning I turned the puter on and YES you guessed it I went straight to myLot and wha La there it was a bright blue shinny star. It would really suck to go down just because you voice an opinion though. Keep in there it's comming I promise !!!

It could be what others are rating you. I know a friend on here was a 10 and went down to a 9 because someone rated her bad for just speaking her opinion on a disscussion. I'm not totally sure about that. Maybe someone can explain it more to you.

the star represents a range to your profile so until and unless you cross the train your star will not change even I am fixed on a nine star rating for the last one month and I am trying hard to increase its 2 10. But it is not happening I guess it will take more time and more quality content to the discussions to increase that and I'm trying hard on it and I think you should also do that if you really want to increase your star. It is nice to see that with 898 discussions you have a nine star rating the first of.

I think the ratings depend solely on how well we've been doing here on myLot. The star rating is highly sensitive too, a lot of negatives and it will drop down immediately! I was on a 10 since the time the star rating came into being and then recently it had dropped to a 9(I was so sad) and now its up back to 10. I'll give you a plus to help you increase ratings. :)The more the pluses the better

I think there is a lot of factors that make it go up and down. I have given you a + as well. I have been on 10 since it started so I have been lucky.

Wow! you got to a star rating on day 2! that is amazing. I am not really sure how the ratings work. Your rating is currently 93/100 approval., maybe as more people give you a positive rate it will go up? I think that is 93 positive ratings out of 100 views. I will go to your last recent posts and rate you with +'s and see if that has any affect.
Also, give out as many positive ratings as you can find deserving, that might help as well.

Greengal hit it roght on. After I got to 100 posts I was a 9 then 3 days later I was a 10. Keep plugging away for quality discussions & people rate them all with +'s you'll be a 10 soon.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!

I think star of 9 is also very good, it's hard to keep a star of 10 all of the time as a few negative ratings from some members will knock it down.. you can't keep everyone happy or you will not be able to speak your mind, I think your discussions and responses are good, you will reach 10 sooner or later, I always rate you a + because i like what you write :)

You do ok. It's not your fault that some members may not like your responses and rater you with a (-). Any member can decide who gets a (+), and who gets (-). Every time I enter a discussion, the first thing I do is to rate the member according to his writing, and the subject he's talking about. I have rater you with a (+), and I hope that you will go back to 10 rating as soon as possible.
Good luck :)

The second day on the site, I went from a 8 to a 9 and have been there for over a month. I think my problem is I don't post often, but answer posts where I receive very few ratings from people. I believe it is the quality of the post and not the quanity.

I know I when I just started at a little over a hundred post I was at a 8 and I saw people with over a thousand at 7 I was like wow but as long as its not going down then I know i'm not doing anything wrong maybe i'm not better than when I started but to see your ratings going down would be a downer so be glad that its not going down instead of worrying about it not going up
