The Pope goes on televison world wide and annonces that he has spoken with God yesterday.
God came to see him and asked him to let the world know that God is coming to put an end to the world as we know it.
It is time for a big clean up.
And it will happen on the 25th December 2007.
It does not specify what the big clean up is all about.
Do you believe the Pope?
What will be your reaction?
And what will you do in preparation for the big event?

Really he cannot know a date. The end will come like a thief in the night. (1Thes.5;2)
I'm sure other men of God will predict other dates. In fact it's a bit dangerous to predict dates because some people will focus so much that they forget to live.

do I believe the pope? In a word, NO. I trust and believe him as far as I can throw my car.
Why God would talk to him and not other pastors; please.
I'm sorry, call me jaded or something but the catholic church has gone so far from the Bible's teachings (the word of God) that I just can't believe it.
Besides how many times have we been told that Mary told people the world would end etc? Several and we are still here.
I'm doing nothing to prepare just as I did nothing for Y2K. I trusted God then and continue to do so.

i am not catholic, but i cant believe the pope said something like that, i mean i believe you, but i have to check from where that comes. i heard so many of these things, all years it returns again. if it comes to an end, well then it has to be, we cant do anything to stop it. what we can do, is to take care of the nature, take care of the wood and the rainforests and try to stop all bad things we do all over the world.

The Pope knows the Bible and what the Bible speaks of; saying that he saw God and told him about the end of the world is very contradictory. If ever the Pope said about those things then Biblically speaking the Pope is wrong and or is lying, and worse that message didn't come from God.
What ever the case that is not our concern, what is important is how prepared are we for God's second coming. Our focus must be on Jesus Christ, his saving grace and his love for us and also to love everybody else.
We should be prepared and always be vigilant for we don't know the day nor the hour of God's glorious second coming.

Forget about the preparation i would not believe in this. But, if there was a supposed clean-up to happen it may be of the sort which is thought to have happened in the distant past. When, a flood came and destroyed mankind from the face of this earth, the only survivors were Noah and his family who were told in advance of the happening.

The Pope is right, sadly, my scientist friends have confirmed it, two Hellhounds are already here and the Middle Eastern War is just beginning. Frankly, I will just find someone to make love to and live out my life like normal.

We have to wait for a certain day because one human being says so. No one on this earth has any power to converse with other beings from anywhere else and the world will go on and on for many thousands of years yet. Believe me I know I was told by someone from outer space after they abducted me and brought me back to tell you all. Trust me! I'm an engineer.

December 25th 2007 just happens to be my 31st birthday. I was thinking it would be nice to spend the holidays on a tropical island somewhere. But I guess it doesn't really matter where I will be.. the rioting and pillaging will happen pretty much everywhere, I assume.

Great, God's visitation. there are lot of spesifics that are missing but the first statement,as the source of the message is already questionable. "Take heed that no one decieves you"

I have lived long enough to have heard many predictions of the end of the world by many religious leaders but all have failed. Some followers even sold their properties and donated it to churches believing that it would only be wasted once the world comes to an end. When their predictions failed they were quick to say that God changed his mind and decided to postpone his second coming or the end of the world.
For a Bible-believing Christian, he believes in what the Bible teaches that no one knows the time nor the hour and he is always prepared anytime it happens. I believe in what the Bible says and it can be anytime and this includes the 25th of December. I believe in the eminency of the end of the world and I have prepared myself for this event.

I don't believe in that phrase, who is he to say that the world will end on that day.It only shows his ignorance of the bible. In the bible one man ask Jesus of a similar event and Jesus answer him... no one except the Father knows what is going to happen, not even me.In that statement he is putting himself one degree higher than Jesus.Do you know that Vatican Rome is the one reffered as the Great Babylon that will suffer a great destruction in the future.Read the Revelation of John in the New Testament.Dont fall for lies and blasphemy.

Well the pope is a very well respected figure in the catholic community, i am kind of catholic but i really dont have that much faith in priests and popes and bishops because they are not the object of my faith- |besides, they are only human to me, ordained to handle the church and nothing more- they can commit the mistakes i have committed to.
Well incase he had a sort of premonition- or he talked to God- and learned that the end of the world is near- then... i'll take it as a warning, I will try to clean myself up also- you know...be more careful in anything, take care of my loved ones, try hard not to sin again, repent for all my sins, confess, Love my enemies- stuffs that the Lord wants us to do even if its not the end of the world yet.
I will clean myself for him. And encourage others to do the same as well...

I dont believe the Pope at all. If it does happen though then i will be very surprised and will then believe anything that guy says. But for no i think its a bunch of bologni along with this guy in spain or mexico one of those who claims he is jesus himself. He has gotten about 5 million dollars from "donations" from people and instead of helping the world he lives in a manchine and wheres a rolex and nice clothes a a good car. It's a joke.

I seriously doubt that there will EVER be an "end of the world". I got the book "The Pocket Guide to the Apocalypse", and they have done these things for centuries, what with doomsayers declaring "the end is near", the craziness of things related to the Apocalypse, world events of the past and present, everything. I thought that this so-called "end of the world" would even take place 5 years from now in 2012. All this "end of the world" gibberish is just to keep the masses and society in line, making them conform to their way of thinking, using fear and terror to make others conform to their thinking.

I think this is non-sense. The Pope wouldn't do such a thing, more so, announcing to the whole world the end is coming at the exact date of Dec. 25 2007. I just this is absurd.
The Pope will be no more like the "crazy" men who carry big card boards hanging like blings-blings in their neck saying "Repent! The end is coming."
I would take the stand of James on this, I would only believe when I see with my own two eyes.

for me end of the world is now near coming, but for pope said that it will happen 25th dec 2007, its not true coz bible says that end of the world will come like a thief and nobody knows when it was. its better if we have to change our lives specially those committed to any kind of prosecution, and those who cheat commit sins to people.....lets us praise God and not forsake for praising Him until he came....

Any chance you can provide a link or a source as to where the Pope stated this??
