Negative Responses.

Due to a recent post of mine which drew a harsh response by a fellow Mylot member, I would like to state this.
If you are going to be so negative about something someone writes on MYlot, why do you even bother to reply?
I understand people do reply to help other my lot members out, but when you have nothing nice to say except negative feedback why do you even bother to waste the time typing out an entry?
Just a thought.

Definitely true! I think if we don't have anything good to say, then it would help us more if we skip the post and move along. This site is for eveyone who wants to share their 'own' ideas and views, as we are all free to choose or decide on what we will post. Just think of it that everything here is not for all of us to agree with, so better not to respond. Look for other topics to which we think we can share interests with, just don't mess with the thread.
Thanks for putting this up Meb!;)

I have seen some responses that are just negative and even abusive. When I see responses which abuse the PERSON (as distinct from the discussion) I report them. There is no excuse for abusive comments to the person.
I believe discussions placed on myLot should receive positive and negative responses. A courteous, friendly and intelligent debate is what makes myLot the place to be. A discussion where everyone agrees with the poster is rather monotonous, where one which gathers many differing opinions holds the attention.
I believe negative responses should be welcomed PROVIDED they are courteous and in the spirit of a friendly debate.
