Our dog: "Ike", really likes to play with just about anything that he can chew or rip apart. If we allowed it, he would be perfectly content ripping apart our socks for entertainment (which he has done on many occasions)! We buy him string toys that he spends hours tearing apart and he also enjoys chewing away at really large bones. What about you guys? What do your dogs like to play with? Perhaps it's not even meant to be a toy?

my dog was normal... his favourite toy was a huge rawhide bone... my friend's dog is a different story... his favourite toys are mobile phones... yes... you read right... MOBILE PHONES... the whole family keeps their mobile phones hidden and really high up... but the moment someone forgets to keep his/her mobile phone, it'll be gone in a jiffy... guaranteed! Lolz....

Masha's Log - My dog playing with her log...
When my husky developed a penchant for chewing baseboards, table legs, and anything else that was made of wood, we had to do something to keep her from destroying the house! So we figured, why fight it? She likes wood? Fine. A friend had just had a tree taken out of her property, so she brought over a small log. Masha just adores it! Strange toy, but keeps her happy and keeps my house and furniture intact!

Ellie May just loves to chew anything that she comes in contact with including the wall. Thankfully she's stopped doing that recently. It seems that her giant rawhide bone and a stuffed dog are her favorite toys thus far. She is also very fond of frisbees and her sock spider toy. She's a pup so just about anything can be a toy...including my coat, my socks, my shoes, anything of mine really.

My mother-in-law had a rat terrior/chihuaha (spelling?) mix that had a small teddy bear. She would love it, clean it, kill it, sleep with it, hide it and what not. She had to have that bear.

My dog loves to play with tennis balls, she loves those rawhide bones, and pig ears. She also has a big purple elephant that i bought for her on her birthday, and it's about half her size, and she loves it, it's got the squeeky thingy in it. It's so funny to see her wrestle with it. One time when she got tired of playing and went to get some water to drink, it looked like she had her elephants trunk up to the bowl, so he could have a drink too. it could have been an accident, but it was funny to see that.

Mine have a ton of stuffies but the best thing that she enjoys is playing with is an empty plastic drink bottle. She rolls it with it for ages.Think she likes the sound of it on the floor, she even rolls it along with her nose. I know people that put a bit of uncooked rice in it, cover the top back on,then it makes lots of noise when they play with it.The other is empty toilets roll holders, she loves cardboard,or an empty box,she carries that around then eventaully rips it itp pieces and squashes them flat, then we talke it off her

Our dog has a few toys but her favourite is a small tiger or should I say whats left of it. She loves us to throw it for her. If she wants to play she will bring it back to us. If she is a bit tired she will chew it. She walks around with it like a dummy. She will have to find a new favourite soon, as this one is nearly 'all chewed out'

My dogs have 8 toys (I just counted them) 2 rope bones and 2 rawhide bones. It is funny to watch as they play with all of them. When one of the dogs gets one of the toys then that is the toy the other dog wants!!

Well we all have those kind of dogs and its frustrating at times when she destroys everything but eventually you get used to it and you know better not to have her anywhere near something she can destroy, just like our dog.

We've got a little golden retriever named Sandy that is utterly infatuated with rubber duckies. My mother first got a few ducks to have them float in our pool because she thought it would be cute, but the ducks weren't very floatable--they tended to flip upside down and float with their heads underwater. Frustrated, she grabbed one and threw it out of the pool. Sandy's head perked up and she streaked after the thing like it was a million dollar check. Ever since, she's been addicted to them. She's fairly good at playing fetch, though she won't actually let go of the duck unless you throw a new one. We've had about six or seven ducks flying around the yard simultaneously at times.

i had a lurcher, 'scooby', when i bought her home she had all the dog toys imaginable, but relished in making a grab and run with her favourite toy - MY KNICKERS!! she then used to eat them, once, when she had eaten nearly every pair in the house, i went out and bought a load, they were still in the bag, when she grabbed a mouthful, ran out into the garden, jumped the fence and ran down the road and into the park where she was racing circuits, with my smalls hanging out of her mouth!i chased her, much to the amusement of everyone in my street, but not before everyone had seen my choice in underwear.

My dog likes to play with every thing that I give him into the porch, because that's where he lives. I try to give him a strong toys, so he won't rip them apart so easily. I remember that one time after I played with him in the porch, I forgot my cell phone on our porch table, and after I rememberd where I left it, the cell phone was already broke to pieces. I didn't yell at him, because I know he didn't mean it, and he didn't know how much important it is. Lately, he started to take trash out of my trash can when I left him in my door. I never caught him while he is doing it, so I still can't yell at him, and teach him a lesson.

Ha ha ,sounds like "ike" is like my doggie...I have a tiny little girl small breed her name is "tiny"...I have bought her a bones with meat basting, a ball, and squeaky toys but she prefers to eat tolet paper off the roll,or anything she can find, like shoe laces, socks, shoes ..I also have a parrot named "molly" and she is always dropping her peanuts and large seeds and Tiny sits there and waits for Molly to drop something so she can eat it,although she has food sitting in her feeder...she always gets under things and in small places and hides..She has also found a lot of my things..I had totally lost a bra that i had purchased at Victoria secret and have been looking for it forever, and the other day i saw "Tiny" and it was wrapped around her neck hee hee....these pets are just so entertaing arent they ??? This morning she was growling really bad and i went to see and she was eating my shower curtain.....I am assuming that is your baby in your aviator and he is so cute...he is precious in the face...well thats our babies and we are their mommies so what can i say? you gotta love them!!

I had a beautiful Boxer who loved to rip things apart when he was a younger dog. I once left home for about 2 hours and when I came back he had chewed the arm off my sofa. I was a little upset with him, but it seems they do this if they get board. Important to make she he got lots of exercise as a pup anyway. He became very lazy as an adult and I never really had a hard time with that afterwards. The dog we now have, a Min-Pin, he loves squeek toys. If you give him any kind of stuffed toy without a squeek, he'll frantically look for a squeeker and if he can't find one, he'll through it on the floor and leave it there. LOL He's hilarious!! Oh, and he loves to steal our socks. He never rips them, he only likes to pile them on the sofa and of course he loves that we run after him. It's a game.

Well one hardly likes to play at all :( The other one seems torn between a squeaky ball that he has finally learned to play fetch with and an old leather glove. A xmas i ha to replace my poor bf's fave pair of gloves as one is now destroyed and the other is well on its way. Oddly though he is not intrested in any other gloves..just thta pair

My dog doesnt really play. It will run around and chase it's tail or us but thats about it. If you throw a ball it runs up to it then comes back and looks at you as though to say "you going to get that!".
