Any penalties for not Tadding......

I also not used to tag my discussions and responses but now I'm as i can see views I have tagged come in search results soon.

I don't think mylot members are penalised for not tagging their responses. I also don't tag my responses that often and i don't get any deductions. Tags are used to search for similar topics efficiently. And i agree with what you've said, we don't need to tag all our responses specially if the word that we plan to use was already tagged. =)

We are asked to add a tag to our responses and comments as well as our discussions. The myLot guidelines explain the reason for tagging. Tagging helps in searching for discussions.

You DO get more replies when you tag a response. If people search for a topic you wrote about, but you have not entered any words or phrases that describe it, how are they going to find your discussions? When I first started MyLot I didn't tag and I got like one response, which was from a friend. I now realize the value of tagging. But it is completely up to you. You won't be penalized for not tagging. : )
