Sore gums, sore knees, stiff legs, stiff neck. Have you noticed your body language? Do you walk around like you have a stick where it shouldn't be. Laughable perhaps, but is this a good way to live? What do you hold within your body posture, have you ever looked? Do you like it, do you want to change it?

The voice may be able to espouse lies but the body is generally incapable of hiding the truth..... I am not as aware of my own body language as I should be yet I am fascinated by the body language of others. I use a base understanding of body language in my every day life as I deal with business people and mainly foreign ones at that! Language is sometimes a barrier so I have to rely on other methods to understand things sometimes. A person's body language speaks volumes!

Way to go James, you are so right. What comes out of peoples mouthes is really sewerage compared to what they really want to say. It's such an art to be an observer and really see a person. We hide behind silly facades and you get to know the facades. Then to really see a person is to find the one behind. That's priceless. Sometimes it's good to have a coffee alone at a sidewalk cafe and observe people, you learn heaps.

Oh man..... The amount of times I have been stared at strangely because I like to "people watch"! I do it every time I am in public to be honest; and I mean EVERY time! It is certainly fascinating. Especially given that I have lived in three different countries in the last two years. People are people the world over! Body language needs no interpreter!

It is good to observe, yet not judge of course. People wear their lives on their sleeves but don't know they do. Their external features don't hide a thing, yet they are in a world of their own thinking no-one sees.

i was taught from a very early age that the body language reflects a person's state of mind so from a very early age i first pay attention to the person's body language and then to the other things. people around me are always surprised when i notice when they have problem or troubled with out them seeing anything. it is all in the body language. it is an amazing field. it's kind of being a doctor without wasting 7 years of yer life studing..lol there are alote of things i do not like in my body language. i know that when i am having a troubled life period usually my hands don't swing freely as the other organs and i my movements tend to be very closed. i am trying now a music therapy dynamic it helps free the body and mind from troubles and it shows:)

Awareness is the first step, at least you see! And then do something about it is awesome. Music and free movement helps heaps, presencing the legs and belly area makes a great foundation for the rest of the body. We spend way too much time in the top half of our bodies. We would be better off headless!

I walk with a cane, so I stand and move in ways that are most comfortable and convenient to me. If someone objects, I'd be HAPPY to stick my cane where it doesn't belong! ;-)

I don't tend to be stiff ... definitely not a stick up the you know. I know I slouch. I know I shouldn't. I have a big chest and a bad back so you do the math.... I slouch. Not only that but I was traumatized during puberty being the only girl in my class that developed in the 5th/6th grade. I would rathe men not stare at my chest. If I want to seem more self assured I stand straighter.

Well you are speaking volumes, stand straight and be self assured. You are worth looking at. Now I have a bit of time on my hands, a bit too much at times. Did you see Oprah when she spoke about how women don't own their sexuality, using the guise that men will look at them, make them feel uncomfortable. She jumped down a woman's throat for saying that that is why she made herself look a frump. I couldn't argue with Oprah.

I think my posture is ok. The only problem is whenever I'm conscious about my posture I tend to turn into some tense, aware stiff moving person. When I;m conscious about it I always think that i'm walking funny or do not have my back straight enough. But I know I'm wrong because my mum commented on how straight my back was when playing the piano
