I find it very difficult to sleep at night. It happens once or twice a week. I have tried yoga, meditation but this has not helped. Pls advice.

well, you can try a little exercise not vigorous (just to make you relax) then have a warm milk..that will stimulate you to sleep

different people have different sleeping habits.
i, for one, would really love a shower before i sleep and make my bed really comfortable and the room should smell a slight fragrance.
notice how people make use of stuff that maximizes the comfort level of different senses.
if you are sensitive to sound and you don't like noise, do something about your sleeping area to make it quiet enough for you to sleep.
if you are sensitive to touch, just like me, make sure your bed sheets are freshly clean everyday. and no rough spots!
if you are sensitive to smell, you can even spray some favorite cologne on your pillow and use airfreshener in your room.
if you are sensitive to bright lights, how about dimming your bedside lamps or having it off altogether.
if you are an emotional person, make sure nothing is bothering you when you go to sleep. when you are worried or something's on your mind and it was not resolved, you'll find yourself in a difficult sleep.
yoga and meditation only works for those who are restless. some even drink warm milk or hot choco. it calms the nerves.
hope one of these would be of help.
